I am 73. I was about 10. When my school showed a film about the Budweiser Clydesdales. It was the story of how they selected the horses before their breeding program started. It told of a baby named Tony. I was racing at Cahokia Downs when the Clydesdale came. I told one of their grooms about the film. He ask if I remembered the horses name. I said he's name was Tony. The groom pointed to one of them and said, that's Tony. I went to touch him & lowerd his big head down to me.. i held his head and cried. The memory of that gentle giant has stayed with me all these years. Even as I write this I cry. Budweiser, you can't know how special these horses are to some of us. God Bless

I grew up in a Big City but we had horses growing up. We had horse until 1988 when my Dad passed away. He ran most of the Stables in the City. Growing up there was 1 wish my Dad wanted and that was to see the Budweiser Clydesdale Horses. So when they came to our City for a Parade I walked up to the People in charge and told them about my Dad they were so impressed with him that they not only let him see them but he was aloud to get on the Wagon and drive it around the block. It was one of the Best Moments of My Dads Life. I was so proud of my Dad and so Glad that I was able to do something for him. Given the fact that my Dad was always the person that did whatever he could for others. I was 23 when my Dad passed away but I'm so Glad I was able to give him that Wish. He said other than the Birth of Us 6 Children and the Birth of his Grandchildren (3) I gave him his 1st. The Budweiser Clydesdales was up there. I hope one day in the near future to move from the City to the South and get property and have horses and at least 1 or 2 Clydesdales. They're Beautiful Horses. I was Lucky to be able to ride one back when I was 14 it was a great experience I wish to share with my grandchildren some day. I Love the Budweiser Clydesdales.

That is a great piece. I got to pet a clydesdale horse many many years ago at the fair . Gorgeous guy ,a real sweetie. I will never forget. I don't think they allow that anymore. It's my favorite memory of childhood. Truly magnificent ! They are a American icon . It just makes you smile and feel good when you see those gorgeous guys coming . Sorry I never was a alcohol/beer person .

Amen, NFL let our veterans & Patriots down, plus the people who supported them thru the beginning years. Football season was my time to escape the world's worries, celebrate my Country & God. The owners & commissioners ruined that with allowing politics to dominate. I don't care if marchers or taking a knee people wished to protest Jack Frost, this should have been off limits. Shame on you in power I haven't watched a NFL game or sport show since that day & won't until the end of my life. You let a few people ruin an American tradition! Took tax payers money to build stadiums. I CONTINUE TO BOYCOTT NFL & products.

I remember the commercial when it was posted after the SB Game. I remember it because it was, and is, the only commercial that brings me to tears, even now! It's more than just a commercial for Budweiser. It's a short film about Love. Love for the horse and Love from the horse for the man who raised him! Stevie Nicks' song makes it!
@catherinekille70462 жыл бұрын
People were trying to act normal, act like their hearts were ok. Then, out of nowhere, here is this tribute to the victims of the 9-11 attacks, and it sucker-punched us all right in the open wound, and everybody was emotionally devastated. While everyone, especially Budweiser, was saying it was meant only as a tribute, a beautiful tribute, and not at all to promote the brand for profit, I say BULL! Everyone knows to whom the Clydesdales belong as a trademark. If Budweiser had truly altruistic intentions, they would have just kept totally quiet. Cruel and cynical exploitation of the tragedy is what this commercial was.

Dear Sally, Exactly what kind people are you surrounding yourself with? I’m serious, are you referring to your family and friends? Or just people in general? If it’s your friends and family, just please know that there are toxic/dysfunctional families every where! It’s perfectly fine to distance yourself from them... Or to completely cut the offending persons out of your life! Think about it this way, if you had a malignant tumor... What would your doctor do? (Hint:✂️ Cut it out, surgically remove it.) If it’s everyone in general that makes “you sad”, then the fault lies with you. You need to take a good look at yourself and change whatever you think needs changing. PLEASE NOTE: I’m not talking about getting a nose job or what you look like... I’m talking about you as a person, you on the inside! That’s what counts! I’m 61years old and I have seen comments extremely similar to yours hundreds of times! However, I have never felt compelled to say something before... I don’t anything about you, but rest assured: EVERYONE HAS PROBLEMS! LIFE SUCKS! THIS MERRY-GO-ROUND CALLED, “LIFE” DOESN’T STOP SPINNING UNTIL YOU’RE DEAD! For your own good and for the good of everybody around you please, stop your pity party. As far as l know we only get one life to live... If you don’t like the way it’s going... Do something to change/fix before it’s too late. I sincerely hope you get your act together. If you need help, get it. I sincerely hope that you’re able to make your life wonderful and happy. By the way, I’m talking to you the same exact way I would talk to one of my children. There are actually some pretty nice people in the world... Now you just have to go out and find them. I wish you the best of luck. ♥️☺️

The Clysdales are so awesome. Let us not forget the wild mustangs. They are less than 100,000. And this summer more will be auctioned, killed or sent to Mexico where our tax dollars pay to have them butchered & returned for consumption. They don't have to put it's horse meet. You can earn $ by training them to lead , liad and if you find a buyer you can earn about $250. I have had 3 and they are truly part of our heritage. Too bad the gold strip mines , and big cattle ranches pay the BLM to use their water & grazing for a dying breed. Save a horse ..ride a cowboy! 🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎

As small boy my local Farm had both Shire AND Clydesdales The Huge Clydesdale 'TED' was used for ploughing and also Pulling Drays and Milk Carts/ (this was in the early 1940's), the Patience and temperament of the Clydesdales is amazing, Hard working, patient and intelligent creatures. One of my Dobermans had a brief romance of the heart with one of these gorgeous animals at an event some years ago. I had a similar experience with newspaper clips. Contact the newspaper and ask for reprints. If you have the date (even approximate) they can probably locate the article. If that fails, go to a local library, most of the newspapers are archived and they can print a copy for you. Good luck.

The stables certainly are incredible. When it is time for the babies, 1 man has video watch in every stall. In the caretakers home beside stables he has a room with nothing but screens. There are subtle signs when a mare is about to birth & he tries to be hands on every birth. It's his life & he and those majestic creatures live better than most people. Only race horses & polo ponies have it so good. I saw him interviewed & he is a lucky man. May this tradition last forever!💙
