Wow! The only team that called him was the Patriots!! I just don't see how people hate the Pats. They may be a powerhouse organization but they recruit players that other teams overlook. They recruit the nobodies and turn them into champions! I attribute this to the great coaching of Belicheck and the leadership of Brady. Remember, Tom Brady was once a nobody that teams overlooked too. Now look at him, the greatest of all time. And Malcolm Butler, so humble and so grateful, his future is bright in New England! Man I'm a die hard Pats fan and I wouldn't have it any other way!! I love everything this org stands for!!

I honestly used to think that either Belichick, Kraft, or BOTH were/are pretty racist. It just seemed like too big of a coincidence how (year after year) New England always fields one of, if not *THE* "whitest" rosters in the NFL. Now i better understand why. *IMO the Patriots' brass goes out of its way to identify/scout/draft players who are prone to being overlooked or under-scouted due to physical limitations--- namely a lack of athleticism.* Genetics put white/Asian players at a slight disadvantage vs. their black counterparts; more conspicuously so in the NBA, but in the NFL as well. However, Belichick manages to make the subtle (if totally benign and uncontroversial) prejudice against white players -- or really against ANY player lacking in pure athleticism/speed -- almost *work in his favor*, basically. This helps explain why Bill almost never trades up at the NFL Draft to select a coveted draft pick earlier or higher up on the draft board than where New England is originally scheduled to pick at. Coach Belichick is extremely patient and he is always looking at, and thinking about, the bigger picture. I feel so fortunate to have him at the controls, calmly leading my favorite NFL team to greatness (and the record books). Oh and for what it's worth, i never seriously believed Coach and/or owner Bob Kraft were *flagrantly* racist or anything. I was being facetious although i WAS always curious about it... GO PATS BABY!!

l'm not sure how quickly Seattle will be back that division is not going to be as weak as it's been and Seattle's legion of doom is aging fast. But after TFB Wilson is the most dangerous QB out there and the most clutch. l never want to play against him. With him at the helm Seattle always has a chance.Look at this year His whole secondary went down and he was still keeping them in the hunt... Also Jimmy GQ is playing for SF and he's been playing lights out ball Next year the NFC West is going to be a beast division

What a standup guy... wish guys like him were more popular role models compared to some of these egotistical clowns that are always in the spotlight. It's so refreshing. His humble attitude is damn-near infectious. People like him are the reason why even as a secular agnostic -- Christian in a cultural sense, Christ as Buddha-like figure? -- myself, i never saw the need to ridicule those with religious faith or to propagate this phony "i'm offended by [harmless Christian symbolism]" outrage. Live and let live, i say. And that goes for the overzealous evangelist types that actively push their religion on everyone just as well.

When watching this fantastic game and that crazy ending, the look in his (Butler's) eye on the sideline was one of such gratitude, respect and even a bit of surprise that he was now the hero. A person could totally relate. Athletes are not hero's, they are regular people (with lots of money) who handle the spotlight either with grace & respect or contempt and pretentiousness. I was pulling for New England because of Sherman's outburst a year ago. Way to ruin a nice moment by rubbing it in the face of your opponent. You're not that important, bud. I'll root for the unheralded, un-drafted kid working in a grocery store with what appears to be a good heart over that pompous USC prick any day.

The Hawks can get back, I know it. I just hope our team doesn't choke and go against it's morals like Pete did with :20 seconds left to go.

Pats fan here and Butler didnt deserve mvp after just one interception, yes it was a big interception and yes it did help us win the superbowl but the way Brady played in the 4th quarter to even give us that was the biggest reason that we won, buttlers interception just ensured the win but he at least deserved the truck and that's y Brady gave it to him

Arthur Reed if you think that one pick was all Butler did in that game you didn't watch the game He came in after half time and played an awesome game he had 3 knockdowns before that pick.Once he came in Willson didn't score again Even the ball Kearse circus caught Butler made a magnificent play on that ball lt just happened to land in Kearses lap. Yes Brady's fourth quarter was historic passer rating 140 completing 13 of 15 passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns and he deserves MVP But it's silly to suggest Butler didn't play a huge part in it. lt wasn't just one pick

It's a safe bet that New England Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler saving Super Bowl 49 at the goal life from Russell Wilson and the advancing Seattle Seahawks is unrelated to Deborah Butler, who was a news figure two decades earlier. Deborah Butler was the mother who defied Washington State authorities in 1991 by hiding her 15-year-old child molester son, Caleb Lucas White, from juvenile justice, citing concern for the prospects of his rehabilitation at state facilities. In a story by ABC News correspondent Jay Schadler, Deborah's height, quoted as four feet, ten inches (4'10") could evoke questions over Russell Wilson's actual height, which is widely believed to be about 5'10" and below his official listing. After signing a $87 M contract extension in the summer of 2015, Wilson and the Seahawks didn't come within sniffing distance of a dramatic goal line Super Bowl play the next season. Instead, they were ousted from the playoffs in the divisional round by the eventual Super Bowl runner-up, the Carolina Panthers. A month later, on 3/11/16, Wilson made news by announcing his engagement to usually half-dressed, Grammy winning pop singer CIAra. Wilson shared the good news of his engagement with his Twitter followers on the 82nd birthday of legendary ABC News reporter Samuel Andrew "Sam" Donaldson (b. in El Paso, TX) . When Wilson was two years old, Donaldson ended the July 11, 1991 edition of "PrimeTime Live" with a story on America's growing frustration with intrusive calls from telemarketers. He probably wasn't thinking of actress Bea Arthur when he opened the segment with this: "When the telephone rings, a lot of people seem to have the gift of clairvoyance. They feel instinctively they know who’s calling. They feel it’s aunt Maude. And sure enough, when they answer, it’s Aunt Maude. But more and more these days when they answer, it’s a stranger. And more and more, it’s a stranger who isn’t even human. A stranger who wants to make a sale." Journalism students might think of the five Ws (and one H) when Donaldson's pledge to find out WHY is accompanied with the word printed on the screen in huge letters (W-H-Y). That edition of "PrimeTIme Live" began with the story of 15-year-old child molester Caleb White and his 4'10" mother, Deborah Butler. It then turned to a total solar eclipse occurring earlier in the day. That story noted the eclipse was 139-miles wide and traveled; the 22 million people in Mexico City became the most to ever witness a total eclipse in the same place. It was noted that the big island of Hawaii saw it, while the state's smaller islands were "narrowly" missed. Notable: Wilson's high times in 2015 only began with the Super Bowl. Twice in a three-day period in April, he was a guest at Barack Hussein Obama's White House. Celebrity gossip reporters noted that his grandmother was Wilson's guest when he attended the White House Correspondent dinner. Three days later, his future fiance, CIAra was his guest as Obama threw a state dinner for the Japanese prime minister. Of course, Sam Donaldson made his bones serving as ABC News' White House correspondent during the Reagan administration and may well have had the "honor" of sitting in the same room with Wilson at the 2015 dinner. And, whatever you think of Wilson and CIAra, during an interview with Charlie Rose, astrophysicist Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson described the star power at one of the two White House dinners Wilson attended as "low wattage". Gender Check: Are you buck or doe? Sam Donaldson's April 21, 1987 appearance on "Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson" tends to foretell the coup that led to Liberian president Samuel Kanyon Doe being deposed and assassinated three years later. Donaldson told Carson the story of President Reagan fumbling Doe's name during a White House introduction, confusing it with long-dead communist Chinese leader, Mao. In addition to Donaldson, the 4/21/87 "Tonight" featured the first-ever appearance of comedian Fred Greenlee on the show. Greenlee telling a joke during his stand-up set about his cat that used to be a dog--a Great Dane--would tend to foretell Doe's execution since pointedly, rebels who captured and video recorded Doe's torture, cut off his ears. What dog has more prominent ears than a Great Dane? Not convinced? Consider that Donaldson's network, ABC, showed video of Doe's execution on Ted Koppel's "Nightline". It would fit nicely with Greenlee during that "Tonight" appearance also telling a joke about falling from a building, which he punctuated by screaming into the microphone. As for Doe’s execution, "Nightline" showed the footage up to the point of rebels moving in to cut off his ears. At that point, the screen faded to black, but the audio continued, broadcasting Doe's blood-curdling screams as his ears were being removed. Donaldson also told Carson that Reagan once had name confusion with celebrated boxer Sugar RAY Leonard.

KingCactus18 Even if Butler would've not caught it that pass would've most likely been deflected by Butler or maybe dropped from a hard tackle, the coverage on that slant was too good. Yeah Butler was the hero, but Brady was the one who put them on the lead by throwing that touchdown to Edelman.

On Malcolm Butler’s Super Bowl 49 game sealing interception: If she’s a football fan, you know actress Brandy Rainey was screaming her lungs out. She was Tasha at the same time John Lafayette was Mike Ray and Denise Dowse, his wife, Mrs. Ray. While Butler’s stopping Russell Wilson and the Seahawks is now described as possibly the best defensive play in Super Bowl history, earlier this century, another notable drive ended one yard short of the goal line, too. January 30, 2000: In the play simply known as “The Tackle”, St. Louis Rams linebacker Mike Jones stopped Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kevin Dyson (b. 6/23/75 in Logan, UT) at the one-yard line, preserving the Rams' Super Bowl XXXIV win, 23-16. Jones played college football for the Univ. of Missouri Tigers and was born in Kansas City on the traditional Internal Revenue Service filing deadline day, April 15, 1969
