🎨 Super chunky SKETCHBOOK TOUR 🎨 2021-2023

Hello there! Welcome to this cozy, relaxing and super chunky sketchbook tour! This particular sketchbook is called ‘’Mapcrunch & observational’’ and is a place where I feel free to just play and play. Also one of the sketchbooks where I set myself rules to be loose and sketch no more than 30min per page. Its been in the works from 2021-2023 and I am so happy to finally finish it!
I work mostly in mixed media. Sketchbook I used - PithSupply Yuzu Flex in 130gsm (Terracota colour).

If you ever make a run of prints on the Iceland sketch, call me first to buy it. I LOVE IT. 😍It speaks to me! I'm a little late to the video but thank you for the tour! It was very inspiring and I think I will 'dedicate' a new sketchbook and give it a try. (as someone who is struggling to get started). A few rules to keep myself contained, and use of a random photo generator to make it simple to decide what to sketch, is what I need, I think. :)

Such a great sketchbook. I love the way you’ve captured the scenes with simple shapes and markmaking and the colour palettes are just gorgeous. I especially loved the minimal palettes where you used the blue/green to create shadows. It would be lovely to see a video of you working on some map crunch drawings. Thanks for sharing 😁

I am currently looking at my Blackbird - pair with baby, who is as big if not bigger than the parents. They can’t get enough apples!! Great video Kristine, lovely work - will watch again as there was a lot of scenes and use of materials that merit a better look. ❤

Thank you for all the inspiration! Im watching while having my morning coffee, and taking ideas for a sketchbook Im working on of my recent trip to Stockholm and, using your idea of limiting the sketchbook content, this one is only using reference pictures I took on the trip, with a limited palette based on the colors I saw there, using a Caran Dache book I picked up on my first day there. Too bad I didn't get a photo of all the blackbirds I saw there... we don't have them in Brazil, and Id never seen the little bird - which is my favorite Beatles song btw ;)

Originally I have enjoyed printmaking but have taken time off to rediscover the joy of drawing in a sketchbook. Now on a path of mixed media and trying to be more loose.
