Protip, Open it up and add some $2 heatsinks to each of the RAM chips, then take out the fan screws, rotate the top of the case 180 degrees and move the fan across under the ventilation slots to only two screws so its actually sucking in fresh air, downside is all ports usb hmdi etc will now be on the front of the console but it will stay constantly cool on high loading psp or n64 games for long play After moving the fan you can actually feel air running out of the bottom air vents

Update to my update. Ill keep it short my last comment got deleted. Do not Buy this. It brokes easily and more than 50% of the Games are unplayable, or has huge bugs, no musics etc. Its not a cheap Price too so Do not WASTE your money.

I bought the X3 and have not had a problem with any of the games. Each system has multiple emulators you can switch between. So if a game doesn't play on the basic setup, you can switch and set everything up the way you want, per game. Great vid! This is worth it for the price being under $200

They redesigned the cooling, its flat and glued on the processor, the fan is attached in the cover and not in the heatsink. I think its about cost reduction. Groetjes, Christian.

This is more a story of what is the case you really like in the end. Super Console X max Plus haves a nice case with one big fan on top I love this one. Same specs .. same emulation results.

I got this console, played some cool retrogames, but I broke it. I selected "Reboot from NAND" or something to see what it did, and now I doesn't get past the boot screen anymore :'( Why the hell is it posible to break it when you select a menu item?

Remove SD ... boot it up into android. Than turn it off .. put sd card back in and try again.

Certain N64 games are notoriously finicky when it comes to emulation - although many will run near perfect, or with some minor glitches that still leave the game completely playable. I have a modded Nintendo Wii that runs around 80 games - most of which play really well. Decent option if you have a Wii around somewhere.

Is it worth upgrading from the original cube to cube x3? I have the original, but better cooling with a fan sounds good, as the CPU temp on the cube hits that 80c mark during the games and menus. Does someone have experience with the cooling of this machine?

Normally you need to press A or maybe B depends who the controller has been config in menu.

Good Review as usual. Now I guess i am going to get this one, comparing it to other Hyper Base models like the Hyper Base FC, this one has a fan and has the 905X3 chips and 4 GB RAM which is good. Thank you for always having a great review. Can anyone tell me how to back up the MicroSD card of this Gameboxes, they uses a cheap kind of Micro SD which will go bad. That happened to me in the past, which now i have a $90 android box just sitting on my desk gathering dust.

What's the obsession of games running at 60fps, that's not how the old games played, as most at 30fps. Perfectly still playable at 30fps. And I still prefer in many games on my XSX at 30fps

Nice review, dankzij jouw inspanning om alles te reviewen wordt het in aliexpress land wat makkelijker om de juiste retro gaming box te kopen. Ik heb deze bestelt, voornamelijk voor de echte oude games te spelen. Wat de emulatie van de n64 en psp betreft is mij opgevallen dat het niet zo heel veel rekenkracht vergt, maar is het emuleren van deze 2 o.a. erg lastig. Op mijn pc loopt het net zo goed slecht namelijk.

I'm only really vaguely interested in how this KinHank would compare with the RaspberryPi 3A+ which is the affordable RPi with full size HDMI..and actually available...unlike RPi4...the RPi3A+ has a quad at 1400MHz 512Mb RAM...but should be enough for most games it can emulate...I think I'd rather build an NES mini around it than buy a prebuilt with this chip I've never heard of before...what do other commenters think? Probably majority would wait for RPi4 or something else?

I just yesterday returned this. Not bad but not good enough. Half games in chinese, then too many duplicates, then buttons didn't work in the game. Too many issues. Big name Consoles is the way to go, no issues. Switch, Sega, playstation, x box
