I love that you can turn to painting as a form of praying or worship. Seeing it from this perspective has had such a massively positive impact for me. When inspiration is sleeping, I like to wake it up by practicing colour mixing in various mediums. Blick is my favorite too.

When I don't feel inspired to do art, I'll usually switch over to another crafty pursuit. Knitting, embroidery, etc. This year I went down a rabbit hole and ended up learning how to spin yarn using a drop spindle - usually while watching (listening) to KZbin. :)

I think sometimes the block has emotions buried inside. I sat down at a blank piece of paper and started doodling whatever flows from the utensil. If I'm angry or sad, I can get that out on the paper. Sometimes, it comes in words, sometimes in abstract, sometimes in pictures. Spewing forth hard to deal with emotions is great therapy. However, it wants to come out if it is on paper it is a safe expression. I've ordered in a sketchbook to start using it as a journal. A creative mind allowed to flow freely will untie the knot known as block and find the inspiration again. Have peace with it! 🤗😍 Beautiful art piece. ❤

I lack motivation at times but I enjoy prompts and books like create this book to inspire me. I constantly have ideas but I just don't always have the mood to create so i write the thought down of what i want to do the next time i feel up to painting/creating

Sometimes if I’m not inspired I’ll just pick out my favorite color combination and that’s my start. I paint watercolor mainly. Greens and blues are my favorite. More specifically moss and teal combination. Patterns can help get me started also.

Ooh I would Love to see a wave painting course from you, good luck with the courses 🥰 as someone who basically has nothing going on in her at the moment 😅 I really appreciate the sense of accomplishment, whether it's finishing a painting, sketching or whatever. But when I don't have the artistic energy for it I usually would go for cooking or tidying up my kids clothes. It's silly but organizing my messy kids cupboards is such an accomplishment 😅

Love that you are working on creating a colouring book! I usually don't do art and craft if I don't feel it. But if I have to, then I sketch in an art diary ideas relating to each other, lots of descriptive words, weird and wacky things etc. like a mountain that has a face, or a tree thats a fairy or a fish with a massive detailed tale and then inspo can come. Your artwork is beautiful. Love the Q and A
