I'm new to crocheting. I've watched several videos but I always come back to you. You explain every detail so I can understand how to do it. Thank you so much! I'm going to make some baby blankets and toddler blankets for our local ambulance service. I know you're going to have what I'm looking for. Thanks again!

I totally agree. I've been crocheting for over 50 years, since I was 5, and there are still some stitches I could not do. It was so frustrating. Then I started following Creative Grandma and it came so quickly, finally. I really like the way she explains and shows the stitch at the same time. She doesn't put out a paid pattern that I can't figure out. she seems to know the problematic parts of the pattern and breaks it down so it's easy to understand. I'm very happy I found her channel.

Beautiful texture stitch! Love your teaching style, Glenda, calm and repetitive. I so wish your videos had been available to me many years ago when I was using books to teach myself crochet.

I LOVE LB landscapes yarn. I'm on a mission to use every color. Lagoon makes up in gorgeous green/blue/silver. It feels silky; I think it's my favorite yarn I've ever used.

Pretty stitch, aka the Suzette Stitch. Love reversible stitches, and ones that I can do while watching a movie. ❤️

This stitch pattern you work in the double crochets instead of the single crochet, but it is just about the same.

This is a pretty variation of the Suzette Stitch, which I love. What a great idea to make the Suzette stitch in the double crochet instead of the single crochet. I've made a sample, and I love it! Thanks for another great stitch.

1) Isn't that a seed stitch? 2) I love watching toy crochet! You're the only person who used your middle finger on your left hand to control the yarn. I do it that way, too. It's how my Dutch mother taught me 50-ish years ago. I have always found it highly efficient, moreso than using my left index finger. My hand won't do it again, yet. Not since I lost all use of my left hand is July/19 after my 4th stroke. All I need is time & patience to begin again!

I like this. I appreciate you going nice and slow and repeating steps. Do you recommend a boarder on a baby blanket size? Thank you.
@janhill20792 жыл бұрын
Not often I think so because the variegated often hides the stitch but in this swatch I think the colour really brings the pattern out. I must be losing the plot because I thought I'd already seen you do this stitch under a different name quite recently. Perhaps it was someone else 🤭. I love your stitch tutorials

Will this stitch also work in the round? It would look beautiful on a hat! Love your videos!!
@TheTartan56 Жыл бұрын
Hi Glenda, I have done this stitch for a baby blanket and it got a lot of likes. Now I am attempting to make a pocket shawl with this stitch I started with 200 chains just wondering how many rows should I go and if you see this and can help tell me how to make pockets otherwise my idea was to just crochet two 7 by 7 inch squares and sew on to shawl.

Is there any way to eliminate the “hole” that’s left at the end of row 2 where you skip that stitch and then do the HDC in the last 2 stitches? It really bothers me.
