Excellent, I remember when I was in my teens being given a book on macrame, I loved it. Its been years now and I still macrame a bit especially when needed for projects. Beautiful 🤩 I want to do this runner, but have a table which is 1,5m long. I don’t know what length should be runner and string I use to make it 🙈

Thank you! I'm glad you like the idea of making the runner for your table. For a table that's 1.5 meters long, I would suggest cutting each cord to be about 5.5 to 6 meters long. If you're experienced with macramé and consistently tie tight, even knots, 5.5 meters should suffice. However, if you're new to macramé or want to ensure you have enough length to work with and account for any uneven knots, I'd recommend cutting them at 6 meters. Bei mir ist der Läufer 10 cm zu kurz geworden. Das ist ärgerlich weil sie so nicht genutzt werden kann. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit sie zu verlängern?

If only a few of your cords are short, not all of them, you can splice the short cords to make them longer and continue knotting. There are many tutorial videos on KZbin teaching how to splice cords when they are too short; you can check them out. If most of your cords are short, you can turn them into the first layer of the macramé border. Then, add another longer layer to achieve the desired length. You can also search for tutorials on adding macramé border layers on KZbin. Hopefully, this can be helpful to you.
