Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! This was the best tutorial I could find and I am now wearing a rainbow version of what you just made. I found this like forever ago, but I wasn't using paracord and it was three in the morning. Now I'm used to being up 'till 11:30 in the morning and sleeping until 8 pm. So, at 4:22 I'm okay with this time and I used the right materials and yeah... SO THANKS!!! And if anyone wants to know how to make a braclet, I'm sending them your way. I hope you grow to be a teacher because you're good at it.

Great explanation. This is made with the common square knot. I learned this style bracelet made out of string this morning. My 4 year old daughter wanted one so I made her one. I am still her hero!!! I never thought about making one out of Paracord for myself. Looks like I'll be off to the crafts store again tomorrow. Thanks for the video man. Send me some of that there orange cord.... Lol

For my "board", I use artist easels. The top and bottom bar are used for holding the painting surface in place while you paint. I screw eyelet wood screws in the top and bottom. Then I'll tie a "male" buckle to the top and female to the bottom just to make it faster to put the bracelet buckles at the right length. I also make on the easel itself to show where to put the picture holders so I have the bracelet at the correct length instead of using a tape to measure everything. On the drawer, I have drawn a 12" ruler so I can pull cord and measure it. O also put to 1/2" pvc pipes on the front of the legs down below so I can hold rolls of cord and keep them handy. I guess I should make a video of just how I made that thing and some of the tools I use.

Thank you for actually explaining the weaving technique without a bunch of confusing nonsense! Mine was far too small though. I'm not sure what went wrong, my wrist is the same size as yours so I was able to use your exact measurements. I had to redo it and the inner part of paracord was wasted (not sure what to do with a less than 2 feet of cord) but it fits now that I added another extra inch.

Eventually those short burned pieces will come loose. Much better to weave the long tails to the underneath of the bracelet. Hobby Lobby sells a long plastic curved needle for weaving. The plastic needle can be found with the paracord supplies. Tip for using the weaving needle. Cut paracord at an angle. Burn the ends and immediately flatten out end of paracord with pair of pliers. This process will make it so easy to thread the paracord through the needle. Also when weaving if you lose your place look for the vertical bar on the left or right side of the bracelet. Make your "C" on the same side as the vertical bar.

I had a stroke about a year ago and the doctor told me to take up a hobby to to try to get the use of my hands back. When I started I didn't have a jig. I was looking around to find what to make a jig with. I did not have any lumber, I know sounds strange but I don't. What I did find was a wooden cribbage board. I checked the measurements and unless you have monster wrists I think you will find the predrilled holes will meet most wrist sizes. What I did was take a couple small but long finishing nails wrapped with some electric tape to stop the cord from slipping. Good luck! I hope this helps with your problem about a jig for now until you can make a custom one. Brian {Gramps} Cuthill Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada

LOVE the simple instructions. I used a carabeaner, a padlock and a hanger as my jig. Can you make a video with adding on buckles, please?
@DiogoJordan10 жыл бұрын
Good tutorial! I was converting those measurements to cm and I noticed that (in case you don't have a ruler) the span of your hand from the tip of the pinky to the tip of the thumb (when stretched) is roughly the circumference of your wrist. With that in mind, you use 2 "hand spans" and some change for the first piece of paracord and 14 "hand spans" for the second piece of paracord. Might make it easier for some people. Of course this only works if you're weaving a bracelet for yourself.

A pencil soldering iron works much better than a flame. Much better control and less charring. Use the shaft of the iron, not the tip. Save the tip for soldering. The broader shaft is more suitable for heating up paracord ends. I like to flatten the paracord ends into the bracelet a little, while still hot, with the rounded handle of a kitchen knife. Makes the job more permanent and the end recesses neatly below the surrounding cord.

That's a great way to do it! I'm just like Jay SonyAlphaLab, I have zero experience as well! It's a great skill though because if you get lost in the wild, and you have a paracord bracelet, it's a lot easier to make shelter because paracord is super strong and durable. You can also use it for fishing if you are lost. But that's another video. Lol! Thanks For The Vid!
