That kit would have fit the controllers made after 2015(visible light bar on front) the controller you have is the original ps4 controller(no light bar on front), after 2015 they're called ps4 slim controllers which is what that kit plug up goes to..

If you have a newer controller, cuh model, it is easier. However i had two different kinds not sure how, they both have lightbars on touch pad and came with our pros, but the one i installed the led kit on had the battery on the opposite side... If its the same for you, you need to put the board end all the way away from the battery pack and have the white touching the battery. Was annoying but i got it so you can too. I wish i watched his video though because i tried to mimic the wire management shown on the instructions. I changed the entire controller (back plate, front shell and buttons obviously.) though for a christmas gift to my brother coming home from college. Hope this helped you guys lol. Nice video my guy. My plug also had the issue of not plugging in, just had to really shove it in

I know how to do it 1: take the thumb sticks off 2: add a circular led in 3: get a Philip's head screwdriver and take the screws out of the back 4:and the led in the touch pad (,if u want I did) 5:screw it back 6:use your led remote and turn it on 7: ENJOY HOPE IT HELPED
