One of the most beautiful bikes of all time. The Japanese had the engineering and sophistication but the British bikes had something special, magic and characterful.

The British brought about most of the innovations. Japan just continued to develop them when complacency and union trouble caused a crisis within the British bike industry. They brought about their own demise but their original engineering skill should not be diminished.

There's nothing like the sound of a Triumph. Beautiful bike. Riding a great bike on a nice day is the best high ever.

I think the Brit-bike have more smooth "low" sound than the Jap´s who have a "harder" metallic sound that for me doesn´t sound so nice...

Epic! The roar of a vintage Triumph is the best of any motorcycle in my opinion. My dad had a 1970 with a 750 and my mother-in-law has (and still rides) a 1971 with a 650. Both bikes just have that sweet terrin' through the country sound when they zoom by, and when they're started and revved up they rattle the aluminum siding on the garage!

Stunning bike. I owned a late 1960's Tiger 650 and a friend owned a similar Bonneville. The two bikes riding together always turned eyes. Loved them. Thanks for looking after such historical icons. From South Africa.

Smooth, timeless lines...& you can tell that mechanically her rotating assembly taps along in a masterful symphony similar to a cherished & well-maintained sewing machine. Her beauty is stunning & absolutely timeless.

68-70 was the pinnacle of 650 Triumph big twins. 6CA ignition, tls front brake, superb chassis and forks, 20 years of development, 49-69. Some may say the 68-69 is more attractive, but the 70 was unique with the 3 bolt front engine plates, and as a mechanic, that little design bonus was a godsend.

A lot of people don't put the rubber grips on the rear tank sides, but I think it is part of the styling of it . One of the best looking Triumph's they ever made, I think

Gorgeous! 1970 was the last year before the switch to the questionable OIF (oil-in-frame) models & best year for the venerable 650 Tri-twin engine which was well-sorted near the end of its production run. (Last 650 was '72, before the switch to 750cc.) Looks like non-original paint for U.S. imports in '70, but that color combo is beautiful. Front tire looks like a Conti. RB-2 ribber, a great improvement over a K-70 for a front tire. I suspect the sidewalls are still good, having been in a controlled environment for 6 yrs. Electronic ignition, if not already done, would be the only mod I'd do w/ this relic.
