I lived in Xi'an for 10 years from 2000 to 2010. Most people don't know: 1. Xi'an has the best city water, like spring water. 2. 20 something kilometers south of a city lies a beautiful mountain range, over 300 great pandas live there. 3. Pick any valley and hike inside, you'll see a couple of waterfalls. 4. Mount Hua and Mount Taibai is only half an hour away by bullet train. 5. Mount Taibai direction, there is a beautiful waterfall that comes down from the top of the mountain which is shaped like a lotus flower. The water just appears from nowhere and comes down from all sides. a natural wonder to behold. But even living there, I have never heard of it, until one day just drove passing by. 6. South of the city, on a riverside, the mountains silhouette looks like Stalin lying/sleeping there. The city has done a poor job advertising itself.

It is shameful that India exports food in spite of domestic hunger and malnutrition in order to maintain its meager foreign exchange reserves.
