I think the original Paul was from his ~2010 minecraft series, and from memory it died to a creeper when Kevin fell out of his tree house and Paul teleported down to try and help. More recently there was a Paul that died in a pillager raid which is probably what most of these comments are talking about.

my favorite little editing/humor thing in Kevin's videos is when the audio changes to match that he's "underwater" or "Somewhere echoey". It's like, as you're watching, it's easy to forget that there's real genuine effort being put into these videos, and (at least for me) it'll kind of fade into the background, or you might zone out a little, before the *shift* happens, and then your attention is drawn back into the video fully, in a good way!

Woah, the superhostile maps definitely evolved a LOT. I used to play superhostile and Complete the Monument maps and stream them with another old friend back in 2011/12, though there was no eating/drinking requirement (this was back when there was even no hunger mechanic n MC) so it was all just DEATH SIMULATOR while trying to complete the monument while smashing through hundreds of hostile mobs in a giant labyrinth 😂 Thanks for unlocking a memory from 11 years ago, Kevin ❤

This was such a fun video! I hope to see Kevin play the Spellbound Caves II! I do think this was probably a different experience than usual Super Hostile Maps because this map is made for those who requested a particularly multiplayer map.
