Yeah, when I was in Korea back when my Korean wasn’t great, it’s overwhelming when people starts talking to you and you understand, but can’t get any words out your mouth... it’s like, NO, DON’T TALK TO ME BEYOND ANNYEONGHASEYO! It’s probably worse for Eric cuz he’s ethnically Korean, I’d just say I’m a foreigner and cut the conversation short 🤣

oh I can relate to this so much!!! This is exactly how I felt when I first moved to Korea and couldn't speak korean very well and I was literally the same, freaking out about the correct way to speak to people, and it really felt like walking on egg shells. But then I learned to chill out haha

Cultural things are THE MOST difficult to incorporate when you start living in another country Can't relate more to you as i am a sojourner and MAAAAN even after years every time I meet someone my head is like running like 200/hr and saying "don't you fxck it up, don't you fxck it up... fxck... I just did it .-." And for Eric I think is even worse cause looking Korean, people DO expect him to be... versed in that kind of things. Like, he is not automatically forgiven of not doing the appropriate thing because he does not look 'different' aaaaand yeah, someone have to point it out for people to say "Oh!... that's why this guy was weird" Also... weird all that my friend here told me to hang out but turns out he is part of this MASSIVELY FAMOUS group. Haha... wanna be you Eric (?)
