Super Junior didn't just want to feature Leslie Grace, but they really made sure this was a genuine Latin-Korean collaboration. You hear a lot of Latin inspired songs in Kpop, but this is definitely 100% authentic in its own right. I mean Leslie had a lot of the lines in the chorus, having part of her own verse, and having a big part in the bridge, compared to a lot of other artists, where they are featured for one verse and it's done. I mean Super Junior sweated the details on this collaboration and wanted this to feel authentic, real, and again, a true collaboration with a Latin-American artist. Leslie's voice is perfection on this song, and I didn't know that it would fit this perfectly. Only sad part is that they don't really perform it anymore, since obviously they would need either Leslie or Somin and Jiwoo from KARD, and that's not possible all the time.

I agree this was a genuine Latin-Korean collab. I’m happy they didn’t have just a few Spanish lyrics they had the whole chorus and verse and yes Leslie Grace was perfect for this collab. I also enjoy Somin and Jiwoo when they performed with Suju. I wish they can perform the song one day again. I love it.

Fun fact- Super Junior became first ever Korean artists to enter the Latin billboards with this song and they were the first K pop group to enter Latin billboards twice with the song " One more time ( Outra Vez). Loved your reaction and energy EliMarie.💙

Fun fact: Did you know that for one of Super Junior's "Lo Siento" comeback stages, because Leslie Grace was unable to be there, that Somin and Jiwoo, the female members from the Kpop co-ed group Kard, sang and performed Leslie's part? And they even had special choreography that made the collaboration even cooler, kzbin.info/www/bejne/oqCYaJ9rj6marbc. (Kard is also very popular in Latin America and they often incorporate Spanish lyrics and beats in their songs.) Yes as the visual of the group, SuJu starts most of their songs with Siwon because the members joke they want to show him off when he looks his best, before he gets sweaty. LOL Leslie Grace is more than just an amazing singer, as you may know, she is a Colombian-American Latin artist who is well-known by Latin music fans. SuJu and Leslie Grace even spent time together doing promotions for the song in Latin America and she performed in concert with them once or twice as well. :D The woman with the dark hair is just an actress they used as part of the storyline in the MV. The DJs you saw are the producer team Play-N-Skillz who produced this song. They are from Dallas, Texas, and they have worked on songs from all over the world. They are well known for their style and beats. Heechul is sitting on the stairs playing the guitar because as one of the two oldest members of the group, he is currently 39, he has had to deal with health issues that make it painful for him to dance. You may have noticed how you don't see Heechul dancing in "Lo Siento." In the last few years, Heechul's role in SJs MVs and performances has gotten smaller because of some medical issues he has been going through. Early in his career he shattered his leg in a car accident in 2006, about a year after debut, and had to have major surgery where they had to put several pins and metal rods in his leg. He has had to deal with a lot of pain over the years, especially when he dances, because of this. However, for most of his career he was able to overcome the pain and just power through as he performed with the group. But as he has gotten older the pain has gotten worse and he is constantly worried about dragging the rest of the group down because he struggles to keep up with everyone in their dances. Which is kind of sad, because, if you know Heechul, you know he is a dancing machine and he absolutely loves to dance and be the center of attention. Heechul is pretty much obsessed with being a performer and he knows the song and dance for almost any Kpop artist or group, both boy groups and girl groups, that have been in existence since Kpop's conception. But, now that he is almost 40 years old, he has decided that what is best for the group is if he just sits out any of their live comeback performances where they perform their choreography -- and even their most recent concert tours. However, he still participates in as many of Super Junior's things as he can and the members make sure to include him in as much as possible. Over the years Super Junior has come up with ways to include Heechul in everything they do, often by highlighting his other talents, such as making him the guitar player in "Lo Siento" or having him play the drums during concert performances of "Don't Don" or giving him the rap sections in their songs so he can come out halfway through the performance and deliver his lines and only have to dance for a short time or not have to dance at all. Heechul loves being a part of Super Junior and I think he will be one of the last people to ever consider leaving the group. But it breaks my heart that these health issues have made it almost impossible for him to do what he loves to do the most, which is being on stage performing with the rest of the members. Heechul really lives for the stage. However, although Heechul is one of Super Junior's rappers, as you probably know, he also has a very beautiful singing voice. He has even been known to fill in for Yesung during their concert performances when Yesung was in the military. So that just shows how out of this world talented the members of Super Junior really are. They also have another Spanish infused song called "One More Time (Otra Vez)," which features Reik, a pop-rock band from Mexico. "One More Time" was the follow up release to "Lo Siento" and it was Ryeowook's first comeback after being released from the military. Super Junior has found a way to use Korean, Spanish and English to create the perfect blend of cultures. That is why even after more than 17 years they are still one of the top Kpop artists in the industry. Yeah, Super Junior is once again paving the way for Kpop in a new market. They decided to take their sound and flavor to Latin America in an attempt to reach their Hispanic fans all over the world, as well as all their other fans. Latin America is pretty much an untapped market for Kpop, and, true to form, Super Junior is never afraid to experiment with their sound and style and to find a way to make amazing music that's new and different.This was a new direction for Kpop and it's benefiting everyone. Not only does collaborating with artists like Leslie Grace, who are famous in Latin America, help Super Junior break into that market, but Super Junior is helping the people they colab with reach a wider worldwide audience. Super Junior is actually one of the most popular Kpop artists in Latin America and they have a really big Hispanic fandom. If you pay attention to the comments on most of Super Junior's content these days you will see that there are actually more comments in Spanish then in almost any other language, even Korean. Super Junior is currently a 10 member group -- with 9 active members -- however, there are only 7 members in "Lo Siento" because Kyuhyun and Ryeowook are still in the military at this point. "Lo Siento" came out in 2017 and it was Super Junior's first collaboration with a Latin artist.

This song and mv are sooo good, Leslie really enjoyed the collab with suju and on videos you can see how friends they're 🥺 Also, Leslie didn't know how to dance at the kpop choreography level, so Eunhyuk taught her several steps and made sure she learned the choreography 👀💙

I still haven't read anything or come up with anything much myself what the meaning of the "doubles" might be. Did it develop maybe because there was a version of the song with Leslie Grace and one with the member from KARD? Anyway, Leeteuk looks great in that peach suit. His outfit was the same in the "Replay" photoshoot, but Heechul was wearing something completely different, a suit with a brown paisley pattern and very long curls, he looks like a Renaissance painting even more than he did for the album of that name.
@EliMarieReacts2 жыл бұрын
That’s so true about Heechul and how he was styled for the album. I loved how Leeteuk looked in this mv and in the concept pictures. All the members’ outfits were different with various patterns and bright colors and they made it work. It’s wild but they looked good.

@@EliMarieReacts I thought that the branches with flowers that were stuck into Leeteuk's boots were a bit too wild, but thats Kpop and its aesthetics of "more is more". :)
