Yesung’s vocal trainer before debut was Yoo Young Jin one of the first R&B singers in Korea, General music Director of SM. You here his voice and crazy adlibs in Sorry Sorry Answer. And yesung was in a rock band before debut. So he’s different. Fun fact he was Ryeowook and Kyuhyun’s vocal trainer. Unfortunately he suffered from vocal nodules for a long time which restrained his singing a lot for a long time, so most people even some fans think he isnt as good as KR

I've watched before in an interview that He is not ryeowook and kyuhyun's vocal trainer. Those two were trained outside sm, pre-debut. With sm, they've trained only for 2-3 months. Ryeowook even met SJ only few weeks before they officially debuted, that's why he wasn't with them in an event wherein SM announced to the press people that there will be a new group with a rotational concept. A different trainee was with SJ back then. I've read he is Leeteuk's friend. Ryeowook was just a replacement for that trainee who for some reason, suddenly pulled out from the group. While kyuhyun was trained with Shinee, and at that time, SJ already debuted and busy gaining fanbases. He's supposed to be part of Super Junior '06. But the management, changed their mind about rotational concept, and added him to the group. He met SJ only, when they were about to promote the single U, hence the awkwardness. Both Ryeowook and Kyuhyun were discovered by SM when they've joined Chinchin Singing competition and won in 2005 and 2006 respectively. Both were trained by different coaches before they were scouted by sm. Only Yesung, and I believe Xiah Junsu too were trained by Yoo Young Jin, that's why they possessed similar style/approach in singing, especially during adlibs. Disclaimer: This is not to discredit or undermine Yesung's greatness, because he really did help the two. But just want to clear some facts about the vocal training part :D

Yesung has an almost blues rock kind of voice which at first some people didnt find suitable for a boy group, but hes great at ad libs and hes gained a lot in popularity in recent years by improving his styling, and of course due to his perfect "anime" face. He was absolutely essential as a lead singer especially on the "Play" album because the other two were in the military. Kyuhyun is Koreas current favorite ballad singer as a soloist, he has won Masked Singer more often than anyone else and he also appears in musicals (I think he looks great as a romantic lead in period costume!). Ryeowook has a perfect boy group Michael Jackson kind of voice - but even better live, he really held SS6 together musically. And even though he looks like a baby and dancing isnt really his thing, he sometimes surprises with a sexy solo dance number that brings the house down! The best thing for SuJu for me in addition to all the talent is really that they never fail to surprise and entertain. So they never get old, not just in the sense of their looks, but because they always challenge themselves and their audience. in the past Yesung is the best vocalis among this three.. kyuhyun and ryewook always say yesung hyung is in another level. I forget in what show, but Kyuhyun ever say yesung always give him some tips in singing technic. if you listen yesung's old voice he is really good. but when ryewook and kyuhyun voices become more mature and their technic really improve. yesung suffer vocal nodule. so thats why kyuhyun gived responsibility to lead suju vocal. but suju members really a fan of yesung's voice. he give soul to every song he sing.

Yesung 's voice is deep, very emotive and captivating. What impressive is that he can sing like that being more of a baritone than a tenor , and all of that with a naturally husky, raspy ,chesty kind of voice ( difficult to control -they have tendency to crack).Personally he is my favourite ; his singing affects me and makes me emotional .I have always thought that he is pretty unique ,more lyrical and that the way he delivers is different - more artful and inspired if I may say. I mean K.R.Y voices complement each other so well and they are all brilliant but there is such a thing called 'The Yesung Effect ' ...They guy hypnotizes.

Yesung always sing difficult part of most of the songs. You can always find his voice in background. In the beginning, for the company gave he a mystic vocal character, most of the people may miss he. In mv Twins, he appeared 4 second only. Unfortunately, most of the mv that you have been reacted were from 7th album. He was in military. That may been a reason you had not found him before. But glad to know you gotta search himXD. Btw, I love their live stage more and you can enjoy them too. and are suggested. These two live performances were pretty cool. They were in 2019 and 2020. Mirror was sung by suju and shadowless was sung by kry, the vocal unit. You can find them on a live programme hosted by suju’s leader Leeteuk.

Thank you for reacting to K.R.Y K.R.Y. (Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, Yesung) They are the 3 main vocalists of Super Junior and have their own subunit. They are the ballad subunit. Can you believe they have been a subunit for 14 years, have had their own concerts, released singles, Drama OSTs, Japanese releases, BUT never had released their 1st Debut ALBUM! XD so they were active just never released their 1st Korean album. Also every time SUJU released an album they would include a K.R.Y. a only song. SO this is it When We Were Us is their 1st Album. Technically speaking Kyu and Ryeo was better but on emotion noone can level with Yesung..his husky low voice and his high amazing high notes was superb...I stan Legends...
