It's cute that there is a pound shop. In the USA, we have dollar stores. You have such a great prep in a very small space. I've been using painter buckets, which take up a bit of space. But since they have handles I thought they might be good, if we can't stay put and need to take our preps with us. Camping is also a great way to find out what needs to be added to your preps. I went with my daughter on a camp out and found that I had a terrible allergic reaction to mold, so prepping allergy meds was added to my list. Any prepper should go camping to get an idea of what else might be needed. Great post :)

Some prepping is a good idea but I don't do it myself; not yet anyway. I've been working on building foraging skills for more than a year now, which is a good skill to have, since rice and tea alone won't provide the nutrition you need; long term.

I don't bother, what sort of catastrophe are you expecting? You would do well to eat some of that stuff in a rotation to keep it all in date - even tins go out of date.

they do go out of date but they last a few years and only cost about 15p each for the smart price ones also I try not to eat canned foods all of the time, because they are full of chemicals, tuna is the only canned good I tend to cycle

cactusross Just because the food is cheap does not mean it is right to waste it.
