***** I'd personally say no to the latter two but Yoshi would be a nice addition, or a game similar to this with Yoshi as the main playable character, and it should be for Wii U and not 3DS as well.... As for Daisy....sadly Rosalina is getting more recognition compared to her, I mean I don't blame them since Rosalina is an awesome character and she has a fresh start to be a good addition to the Mario Universe. Daisy had her chance but she never was evolved aside from being Peach's clone ( her more "in your face" clone) Waluigi is pointless he literally came because Wario needed a partner for tennis and he has no true back story and even if he gets a real one later, its pointless since he has been with us to long and now we should just accept his appearance. Does he even have his own game? A shyguy has more credibility than Waluigi and some fans say they are non-canon to the main story of Mario.

I watched 8:20 in slow motion and I think I figured out why Luigi finished first. It all has to do with the way the flagpole was programmed. After Mario lands shy of the top, Luigi is the next character to touch the pole, but he lands in the middle and has to crawl up. You'll notice that he crawls past Toad even though Toad pounced directly on the top of the pole, which is why you were all so confused, and rightly so. As soon as Luigi touched the pole the game must have assumed he was already at the top, because after all any character who touches the flagpole with a cat suit on is carried against their will to the top of the flagpole, and so the game didn't even bother waiting for Luigi to get there before assigning his logo to the flag. It's an interesting glitch if you can call it that, but in any case, there's your explanation.
