Whenever I see an animation this good, my brain shorts out and I can no longer compliment, only add constructive criticism. About the Koopa who stole a mushroom: Maybe it should have made the tree it landed on bigger, to make it less predictable. Also, I probably would have made Mario walk from the side of the screen after dying in quicksand, or maybe use the "poof" effect used in the Bowser fight, or even a bubble. He'd still flicker either way.
