I'm overwhelmed by the talent involved here. Just staggering. You should be in BBC Proms to have an audience you deserve.

Man I haven't sight-read actual sheet music in so long.. comes right back to you. Great composition guys, I'll have to give this a shot on trumpet after I give it a well deserved acid-bath

Hey man, don’t hold out if you’ve got acid

It really does! I hadn’t tried to play anything off sheet music for, gosh, 15 if not 18 years, but recently I looked up a medieval carol and played it right the first time. It was especially strange since at times it felt like I played faster than I could read it, but going back and redoing the bar slower I was right the first time. The alternating spacing of notes on and between lines really is super quick to see intervals.

The music without the "live background noise". That video is fun to watch and listen, but sometimes you just want the music. And the score is a study of how to read music. I'm no expert, but seeing this as it goes and how it comes together is surely fascinating for those that have different levels of musicality. May we see this for the other live recordings.

Wow, headache!!! I cannot imagine people having to count 1234 in a tempo of 360bpm!!! The amount of detail that went into this 6 minute masterpiece is truly incredible, my word. In order to read it all you would have to mute the video and start/pause it every few second. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
@The8BitBigBand3 жыл бұрын
Right? I ended up setting the metronome to half note for that section cuz hearing it on all 4 beats at that speed is like an ice pick to the brain haha
@kaitlyn__L Жыл бұрын
Pausing frequently is exactly what I did, then went back and let it play through uninterrupted a second time round lol

Really neat to see not only the musical notes but the word-based notes as well! Thanks for sharing, very insightful!

It was really interesting to see all the various inspirations you incorporated into the piece, especially since in many cases I was like, "This reminds me of something, but I can't quite put my finger on it..." only to find out that one part reminded me of The Jetsons, another of Vivaldi, and so on. :D
