@ziongite5 жыл бұрын
How can it sound more original than the original? That doesn't even make any sense at all. So because the quality sounds better, it then sounds more original? You are aware that the original played on a very limited gaming console right? Which could only play in 8 bit sound and later 16 etc. There are piano recordings of these songs from Japan from a long time ago, they release the music in high bit rate formats with real instruments a lot. It's known as game music and you can buy the CD's of it, they do it for Final Fantasy and Zelda as well.
@ziongite5 жыл бұрын
@JC Denton I will walk you through why it's illogical honey. The original is the original, period. Nothing can sound more like it sounds than itself, no different than no person can look more like you than you look like yourself. This really isn't rocket science. If you actually believe that something can sound more like the original than the original sounds like itself, you clearly lack even kindergarten level logic skills. Because what you are trying to argue for doesn't make any rational sense.
@elisnovat39555 жыл бұрын
@Drive-By Troll It is, isn't it. But these kids clearly don't understand that the early consoles didn't have the memory space to store songs (thus it was played via 8 bit midi sounds and created by the computer). Of course Koji Kondo played this piece many times on his piano, but for the game it couldn't store a real sound recording because of the limitations at the time. Though CD's of proper recordings on CD's were released in 1985 (only a few years after the game's release) in Japan. This is because Toshitada Doi invented the CD and it was released in Japan around the time the first Mario game came out. This is when game music started to be released, video game makers would record professional pieces for CD's and release them to the public to buy. Of course eventually as time went on the video game industry went over to CD and DVD type technology and could include the high quality music right in the game itself. There are only two originals of this song, the original midi as part of the original game and then the original first ever piano recording by Koji Kondo.

Me and my friend talk about his all the time, back how KZbin used to be. Back when it was just people making stuff, monetization wasn’t really a thing, so the only real incentive was to make cool interesting videos that got lots of views. It was like a lot of raw home video type stuff. Well produced videos with fx and what not werent the norm. I’m glad we’ve come this far but I kinda miss that time.

Facts. Check out some channels playing either classical piano works, or smooth jazz sounds. I found a guy playing "Take 5" on the acoustic guitar; and another on the piano. Top notch.

Just for anyone wondering, 4 mallets it legitimately insane. When you do the right grip, for the first year you will get blisters constantly and if the mallets aren't good you will bleed from your palm if you practice too much. I'm in the Marching Band pit and, every time a 4 mallet part comes up I know I'm in for something painful. But this dude just flexed and played super Mario bros like a God I'm in awe

I did my first year of vibraphone last year, and oh boy I didn't realise how painful it would be. It is so much fun though and I have to say that mallet instruments are definitely some of the most fun to play.

Joseph Murgolo, I remember wondering if I was over-doing it when I first mixed this. It was my first marimba solo recording, and I wanted to "feel" the bass. Perhaps I went a little overboard lol.
