FAQ Q. I don't want to watch the whole 38 minutes. A. If you just want to see interesting stuff, check out 2-2, 3-3, and 8-1. Q. What's World 9? A. If you beat 1-1 through 8-4 without using warps, you get to access World 9. Q. Why did you do an infinite 1-up in 1-1? A. At the end of 8-4, you get 100000 points bonus for each life left. However, you can avoid this by overflowing lives counter to over 128 and tricking the game into thinking you have negative number of lives. Q. Can you avoid a coin in 1-1? A. Maybe, but avoiding a coin costs more points because of fireworks. You get fireworks at the end of a level if the unit digits of the coin counter and time counter are the same, and they are worth 1500 or 3000 points depending on whether the digits are odd or even. Therefore, collecting a coin (200 points) allows you to goal at time 0 instead of 1 (50 points) in all levels and save more points. Q. Why do you goal at time 1 in castle levels? A. For castle levels, beating at time 0 will be treated as 1000 seconds left and you'll get 50000 points. Q. What are some potential improvements? A. You can probably avoid coins in 3-2 by clipping into the wall above, but that might be TAS-only. Fun fact: dying in 8-4 wasn't intentional or necessary but I kept it in for fun.

How many points would be scored if this was on the SNES version which has no 100,000 point bonus?

So this is the lowest score in Lost Levels without any warps, not counting Worlds A, B, C, and D?

you can get less points in 5-3 by wall clipping

I don't think that works because there's no way to reach the pipe after clipping into the wall
