I was just in that Nintendo NY store for the first time about a month ago, coming all the way from California. I’ve seen many Nintendo Direct reactions in that space over the years, so to actually stand in that room and now see a new Direct reaction after I had been there is surreal. @@ChaoSTrophicS I mean in terms of what we got was kinda sad. Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury was great. The 3D All Stars was a disappointment and every Mario thing was purged at the end of the month. Now looking back at the direct it was good in the moment but in general it just doesn’t live up to the hype anymore especially after everything that happened.

@@traviscunningham7062 the 3D All Stars did Mario Galaxy Justice. Mario Sunshine and Mario 64 felt rushed and Mario 64 there doesn’t feel any different than Mario 64 on the Nintendo 64 emulator. Along with lack of wide screen support and that it ran 30 frame’s per second. It was expected to be a deluxe pack but didn’t live up to the expectations. It was wah at the fans wanted but in my opinion it just turned out to be disappointing and felt worth it mainly for Mario Galaxy for me personally.

Basically the only negative about this entire presentation is also making Yoshis invincible. You literally already have Nabbit for that, why also force the Yoshis to be easy mode? You're expecting FOUR little kids or gaming newbies to need much less want that handicap?

The developers don't know what groups of people are going to gather around to play. Why not make it as accessible as possible for people to find fun in the game?

Let it stay on by default so people can jump on Yoshi if they don't know and don't mind, but let us choose to not have that. Forcing a character to be easy mode instead of having a toggle is *less* accessible, because now no one who isn't a newbie is going to play as a Yoshi. Again, this is honestly a nitpick in the grand scheme of things, especially when I'm going to play as Daisy as much as possible. The game looks fantastic and this is my only criticism.
