Apparently Nintendo ported almost all mainline 3d mario games except for 3d land and this game on the switch. Don’t know why they didn’t port those two games to switch.

My guess is that Mario Galaxy 2 had a lot more mechanics than the 1st one that didn’t mesh well with the switch (yoshi and the new power ups for example). …Not sure why 3d land was left out though. That one’s a total mystery to me😅

Idk if this is a hot take but I think Galaxy 2 is better than 1 which is crazy but I think this game was an improvement over the first. Quite possibly one of the greatest video games ever created. Yes it’s that fantastic.
