This game was my life. Every day after school I rushed to the living room, turned on my Wii and played until my mom told me to go to bed. I remember when I first discovered the library and listened to Rosalina's backstory. This was the first time playing a video game that I got genuinely sad. To this day Rosalina's backstory is one my favorite extras in any game and it was optional. Rosalina is one of the best and most complex characters in the Mario universe. She could have been just another Peach clone but in space and yet they actually gave her a beautiful and sad backstory that rivals some of the RPGs. The music in this game is incredible, It's my favorite soundtrack to any Nintendo game. From the adventurous and vibrant music of Gusty Garden Galaxy to the calm and relaxing music for Space Junk Galaxy this game has a lot of different tunes for every situation and level. These songs will go down as some of the most legendary pieces of music and will be heard by generations to come. The levels are all unique, fun and offers a different experince in each galaxy. I will hold this game near and dear to my heart as long as I live and will play it with both my kids and grandkids so they will get to experience the same feeling I got when I first played this game.

I got this game in Christmas 2008 along with my Wii at the age of 7. As a kid who had only experienced GameBoy and DS games prior, playing this at that time felt like playing a movie. I was so enticed by this game and the Wii in general, playing it was all I wanted to do for like a year straight. Nostalgia overload watching this. It definitely reminds me of the good old days. This era was lightyears better than the world we live in today. What I wouldn't give to be able to go back in time to the 2000s. I don't really play video games anymore, but I was really into the Wii back in the day and I would play Mario Galaxy for hours on end almost every night when I was finished with work. I can't believe this game is almost 15 years old. It just doesn't seem possible. It also makes me feel very old when I realize just how long ago this was. I remember being SO excited when this game first came out. We still have our old Wii and all of our games. This makes me want to dig it out and take a trip down memory lane. We do have a Switch, but we so rarely use it. Nothing can ever hold a candle to the Wii. Such good times.

I got really close to beating it, before given up because I was scared I couldn’t play the other levels once I saved peach, so I just played my favourite levels until I moved on. Recently I decided to give it another go, only at the second dome but I’ve been loving it so far!

Merilyn Li it’s a really worthwhile game to play, I used to play this all the time when I was young, it is full of nostalgia and it is really beautiful in terms of music, scenery and just everything else, it is kinda like roleplayish I think, you need to collect a certain amount of stars to complete it and go to beat bowser, but there’s so much more to do and you do feel really involved in the game. the observatory is like a “hub world” and a huge part in the game, the stars you collect tie in as fuel for it like a starship, at the end it takes you to the boss and etc, sorry if my comment was long, I hope I answered some questions for you ✨I used to be so invested in this game so do ask me anything else you want

I am 18 and i only started playing this game a week ago. I think it's beautiful, i thought super mario bros wii was the best wii game but that was until i bought this. SMG tops everything. The music is amazing, i've been going around the house singing the soundtracks all the time. This game is challenging and addicting and i cannot believe it took me so long to start playing it.
