Not really a worthy successor if you ask me. First mission is cool but the 2nd mission could be on any Galaxy as its just Rock Mario on generic platforms and the Hidden Mission is just a chimp minigame.

The only thing I hate about Melty Molten Galaxy is its Daredevil mission and those suns throwing fireballs at themselves and at 90% of my runs.

My best guess is that it’s possible the luma that allows him to do the spin attack is probably keeping the heat from killing him

Honestly, I don't think you should try to find any kind of logic in that. Mario can breathe in space, why wouldn't he survive near the sun? It's just cartoon logic, and I love it in this moment because it makes this galaxy seem impressive as you are between 2 suns constantly exchanging lava
