Try converting it to the same file type as your SMK. I assume you patched SMK correctly with this hack. Try headerless versions, too, if that is neccesary here. That hack was not made for the SNES mini. So you have to search for a solution by yourself. Good luck!

@@HiiragiTia I added the patch to the Mario kart file. Renamed it, and tried with & without the header. Nope nothing. 😔 Thanks for the reply though. 👍
