Nintendo programmers that are Mario Fans have the best AND worst of both worlds. They got to experience the joys of creativity we longed for years before Super Mario Maker and Romhacking were a thing. But they had to leave room for completablity by toning down the difficulty, the gimmicks, and the freedom of completely free-reign creative output to satisfy their bosses and meet the deadlines.

Haven't beaten it yet, but it's awesome, couldn't beat it cause my battery died. Some minor things to change, at the beginning, remove the one way gate, I could see that troll coming. The softlock to the checkpoint, great troll, but replace the fish with lava bubbles. I dodged the fish by instinct, but they kept bouncing out of reach so I had to reset. One of the best levels I have played though, needs more recognition.
