Super Mario Odyssey: Dark Side - All 24 Power Moons Locations Guide | Walkthrough!

There is a total of 24 Power Moons for Rabbit Ridge. 14 are found in the Rabbit Ridge area, and 10 in other kingdoms. You need to first view the hint art / pictures / puzzle so that the moon will spawn in the other kingdoms. I tried to use the best or fastest route or spot to find the moons. Overall, the moons in this kingdom are not that hard to find, but they are hard to GET! There's a difference. It might seem overwhelming at first, but as you go along, the locations are not as obscure as you think. You can find the moons 100%, but it requires patience. I've also included the Broodals battle if you're interested on the strats I used on how to beat the bosses. Not easy, but they're worth it.
I've made this in a way that it'll be really easy to follow! If you're looking for a tutorial on how to get these special / regional power moons then look no further. Read the description for more details.

Moons number 1 and 2 are definitely the hardest because of the time it takes to get to it. You need to defeat all the Broodals and the RoboBrood (Mecha) for Moon #1. The moon gravity physics also doesn't help.

Finally beat Breakdown Road. I actually got to the end once and realized the bullet wasn't chasing me - because apparently I was a few blocks away from it triggering. A mixture of pure luck, perfect timing and overcoming the Joy Con's unresponsiveness (I brought them in to be replaced once, turns out brand new ones are just like that). I feel like I was doing the exact same thing each time (ZL THEN A) but Mario would decide to do something different every 5 times: long jump, regular jump, NOT jump at all, or ground pound when he was 5mm too far over the ledge. This game is incredibly precise and unforgiving (like Mario refusing to grab a ledge in 95/100 scenarios) in its platforming but the controls are incredibly inconsistent (especially with how the combination of buttons containing LZ/RZ will inevitably cause you to go DOWN when you want to go FORWARD).

To save people some time: you can watch all the art hints on Dark side of the moon and then just go to all of the different kingdoms and get the moons. You don't have to come back to the Dark side of the moon everytime you collect an art hint moon in another kingdom.

The exact same thing happened to me, after having tried like 150 times. When I finally reached the end, I slightly went to the side, but the bullet bill followed me instead of breaking the wall. I was so pissed. I just didn't want to have to try 150 more times to make it through breakdown road again. So I calmed myself down, gave it another shot right after that missed opportunity, and was able to reach the end again and finally got the moon.

In the final fight of rabbid ridge, you can ground pound cappy jump on the top of the machine and ground pound them. When you do one and go back with another cappy jump mid air, you get sent back a bit and if you try another cappy jump it works and you can just land on one of the side ones and use that throughout.

for those needing help with the broodal fights beyond obvious practicing. Get a heart power up, free one hidden above the block in the crater below the shop hut on the regular moon area so save your 50 coins. dump all your coins into moons / costume items prior to doing these levels so you don’t waste progress/ time, after each of the 4 broodal fights you can warp back to the odyssey for hot chocolate/ tea regain hp to 6, you spend some more time but you get more time to figure out the later stage bosses, this helped alot with the final one take 5 hits versus 2 the measly heart they leave on the way to 5 is a joke. i try to figure things out myself or get a clue where i should look / start a level fight a boss than cheat myself of figuring as much as possible. some of these levels are pure fundamentals, have you learned the fundamentals and advanced moves can you execute them in series under pressure. the thing i dislike with all these full on “git gud challenges” is you spend so much time repeating early to mid stuff to even get a crack to figure what the end parts are, darker side is that, after the bird bit i blew though the rest in one try. The other is am i approaching this in an effective way and is just trying shit going to work, guides like the vanishing road second segment show exactly the approach that must be taken if you want to make the time. not a fan of these but the knowing is coupled with the execution so that is that. going for full completion but as me and my son reach the very end after setting the game aside for almost a year there are some obnoxious ass time waster moons. 100 skip ropes blink and fail for instance, volleyball as well is pure hot garbage. lastly i have to laugh guy at the bank said he didn’t want to get odyssey because he heard it is short. like bro me and my son have over 170hours on odyssey and 270 on zelda, intentionally leaving stuff till release announce of sequels. the people that finished it in 15-20 saw less than 40% of the games for christ sake and are hack players in terms of skills. you need to put the time in, my son is good but i’m always amazing him with stuff i doin odyssey and i tell him it takes time to master the skills and stay calm, zelda is like this too despite power creeping to demi god status, this is a case i want a direct bigger sequel for mario no dlc points to this being the case. *great video if you read this, nice job all in one spot to skim and skip for what you need a tip on.

in order to find the location of the "hidden moons" you first need to check the art pieces to iniatiate the moons to appear when you groundpound. EVERY walkthrough i find, fails to point out where all the art is on the dark side of the moon. Its super fucking frustrating because im missing one.

Tip for breakdown road: I found it so much easier to do by doing a small jump then a dive to the next block instead of long jumping. Or by doing a big jump and then, as mario is in front of the block midair, dive. Long jumping feels so much messier and clumsier.

I have failed more times on breakdown road than FUCKING DARKER SIDE, WHO THOUGH IT WAS GOOD DESIGN TO MAKE YOU DO SO MANY LONG JUMPS WHEN THEY NEVER REGISTER I have just finished it, I felt no relief, I felt no satisfaction, it literally brought me to tears, but now I have a tip for anyone somehow still not finished this in 2023, press both the buttons as quickly as possible and MAKE SURE you press the trigger ever so slightly before B, and also make sure you’re at the very edge of every block when you jump.

You can literally just stay holding R and press b as soon as you land as long as you don’t stop running. I did it on my second try, it’s very easy.

@@majesticeagle5461 That is not why, it’s because it’s genuinely easy for me but I realize it’s not for everyone and so did struggle on some other moons a lot more. For example, the piranha plant one with the goo without cappy. I had to do it like 20 times.

What makes break down road so hard is that you have to time evrey long jump correctly to get there

Little tip for invisible road. Go and buy a heart that gives you an extra 3 hearts, so you have 6 in total. Then go in and try it since most people wont start in the middle like he did, you will make it through better with additional hearts in case you get hit with the purple toxic slim, got the star with two hearts remaining, so i lost 4.

There's a hidden heart in one of the vegetable shaped rocks near the lamppost, you just have to throw Cappy at the stem and hold down until it appears.
