Super Mario Starshine is a modification of Super Mario Galaxy 2 that aims to mostly recreate Super Mario Sunshine in the Galaxy 2 engine. There has been a lot of work put into this mod over the last few months and I'm very proud of the things we've accomplished too!

It genuinely looks one of the best SMG hacks I've ever seen. Plus the new "bonus levels" seem awesome and fit very well in both the Sunshine aesthetic and the Galaxy gameplay. One small edit I'd suggest is to use the "got a Shine" jingle instead of the Galaxy one to improve the immersion, but other than that wow, really great job.

I love the aesthetic of sunshine but wasn't a big fan of the actual game, but giving it the galaxy treatment might just change that for me, this looks fantastic, cant wait!!!

Just wanna let this out, Since I was a kid, I was always fascinated about the skyboxes of the galaxy games, especially galaxy 2, I really like how unique they are despite reusing that same cloud texture, if so could you please try to make some custom skyboxes for the levels, maybe keep some since I like the starshine beach galaxy one you use for delfino, but for maybe the final boss skybox you could recreate the skybox to be more galaxy esque you know with the fluffy cartoony clouds, also It would be cool to see a recreation of the special stages backgrounds since they are already look spaceish in sunshine.

I can't find the video I saw it on, but there was a video showing unused animations in Super Mario Galaxy 2. I remember there was an actual drive attack animation hidden in SMG2, I wonder if you'd be able to find it and put it to use.

@@SPG64 No, it was more a showcase of multiple unused animations and models. The background was purple and it just showed the model and the animation on repeat. I think it was removed because I could never find it again.

This is great progress. It has a lot of custom models, custom coded objects, and uses a huge variety of objects and mechanics. Next step is to add some more NPCs and signs, hide rewards and secrets in every corner, and put star bits all over the stage in various patterns. Be creative with switches and areas, and don't be afraid to use lots of them.

how are you very nice work, excuse my ignorance, I'm doing a couple of tests, I'm very new to this hahaha, I used a multiplayer iso, it works quite well like this but in some cases Mario crashes at some specific point, Luigi doesn't work well . haha sorry my question happens that I start playing multiplayer with my daughter, do you know of any method that I can try? thanks for your time
