Super Mario Sunshine - Green Yoshi (Unused)

Technically, the Green Yoshi does appear...but the game has it so if Yoshi turns Green, you need to feed him more fruit or he'll die, and you'll have to go hatch his egg again.

if you jump in the water while on a yoshi, you can also see it change color back to green briefly as it breaks apart into droplets.

I'm guessing that they originally were not going to have Yoshi disappear whenever he ran out of juice, but would instead just turn green. That's why it says "Fruit" below the juice meter when he's green (and in the beta version it says "Hungry").

This should have been in the game as a colored yoshi option

It would have been best if they had made a different color for each fruit Yoshi can eat. Banana: Pink Pear: Orange Pineapple: Yellow Durian: Purple Coconut: Green And maybe red for chili, even though Yoshi would never ask for it.

Actually, there is green Yoshi in the final game but it only appears on a split second when you run out of fruit/juice
