Ice Luigi I have completed it 100% in ONE SITTING three times and 100%'d it eight other times and never have gotten sick of it. It's such an amazing game.

To be honest, super Mario sunshine was one of my favorite games on the cube. But the only flaw I could think of is Mario not talking during the cutscenes. Oh well. Better wait until the NX or Wii U remake

With that opening, I was just expecting a long pause followed by "....Super Mario Sunshine." I will have to agree that keeping all the settings to a single theme did keep them from being nearly as memorable as the 64 stages. That's why I'm glad the "space" element from Galaxy was really more of an enabler for lots of different world ideas rather than a strict theme frame.

It's way more fun when you beat the game cuz u have everything, can do ANY level and there are some secret levels too. My favorite items are the three versions of the fludd, the red kind (pretty sure it makes you launch up) the blue kind,(original) and (forgot color and it makes you run SUPER fast). You can even run on water

It's funny because opinions of this game have shifted a lot in recent years. I'm sure it's due to the Retro hype of C*vid-19 and breakthroughs in the speedrun community. Whatever the reason, I love it. Super Mario Sunshine is one of my favorite video games of all time. It's incredibly nostalgic, It's controls are second to none (seriously, ask any Mario or platforming fan). Art and graphical style hold up amazingly in 2020 and it was the first Mario game to ever feature a 360° Camera. This game is comfort food to me

I can the controls & camera are an step up from 64 & graphically & presentation wise, it looks amazing. Sadly, the levels, most of the missions, Shine Sprite placements & the difficulty; along with having to go on every single main mission to unlock the final level instead of just collecting this amount of Shine Sprite like Mario 64 did for the Power Stars makes the game incredibly linear and really killed it from my enjoyment. Not to mentioned the game was rushed that has some glitches, collision platforming & physics that are mess up, about halve the levels were cut and100% is one of the worst completion I've seen in an 3D Mario game.

Maybe it's just me, but having a game require me to play most or all of its content to complete it isnt a problem. Usually when I buy a game, I'm gonna get my money's worth from it and try to do everything in it anyway

Maybe. But if you look at 64 where they only wanted you just to collect the amount of Power Stars to reach the final level, than you have an option & that was good design. But here, you have to do every single courses and episodes 1-7 to get to the final level without having significant goal & purpose on why you're collecting many of them when there's like 70 more of them to 100% it & it is kinda annoying.

Most of your reasons aren't logical at all. You're comparing a completely separate game (SM64) with this new game, that tries to do something new with Mario. SM64 was Nintendo's first 3D game, SMS was Nintendo's first Mario GC game (Correct Me?). It's like comparing oranges and apples. You can't, they're two separate things. It has a ton of things that I like but some design choices are asinine and kinda ruin it for me and I can only recommend this for people ready for a challenge but if u want a comfortable experience avoid this game with all your heart it’s the hardest 3D Mario game out there and you get literally nothing for 100% completion but there is good in the game such as the music which is phenomenal and the areas are cool such as riccoo harbor, Noki bay, pinna park, sirena beach, and corona mountain which are really amazing places to explore and some of the boss fights are fun too like the eel dentist one, the gooper blooper, petey piranha, and mecha bowser. The story is interesting and yoshi is here

At least Mario Odyssey doesn’t have 100 coin Power Moon missions. And when you die you lose 10 coins. In Mario 64 a 1-Up was 50 coins.

The worst game I ever played has to be Ghosts 'N Goblins. And no it's not because it's hard, it's just unfair. I'd rather play Lost Levels unfair. The level design didn't match the dedicated arch, enemies would spawn RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU, and you needed specific weapons for certain parts which some of them SUCKED. Everyone complains about the later games but they were MUCH more balanced. Enemies were placed where you had enough time to react and they'd indicate where they'd be. The weapons were better and the level design matched the dedicated arch.

this game was frustrating at times but i still enjoyed it id rather play sunshine than 64 because of better controls and level designs. In my opinion this game has a certian charm that 64 dosent have...but the galaxy games are ten times better

I whole hardly agree with you on the Galaxy games being superior. Though I still prefer 64 over Sunshine. Sunshine may have better controls. But most of it's level designs and structured with missions & repeated goal is hot garbage.
