do you see any characters on the selection box? If you don't then you have to add characters by going to select notepad and add characters name in your chars folder, so one good example is it should have kfm in your character selection.

yes it suppose to stay and then on top you should see a stage select, you click the same button one more time and you will go to the loading screen.

when you try to play as kfm nothing happens? Do you mean you actually select him and when you go to the stage nothing happens or a error appear?

ok The only thing you need to put Characters name in your notepad so if you download Supermario for mugen, put supermario folder in the chars folder, and then in the select notepad, you just put supermario under kfm then supermario should pop up.

hmm... oh wait, can you check your option for config? It tells you what button is your mugen select. Also, the mugen you download might have messed up buttons, what site did you download your mugen at?

how did you add these characters? I know how to add them, but there cant be any sub-folders in the characters files, so I cut and pasted all of the files into the character folder. then the character shows in Mugen, but i get an error.... can you plz help?

oh well once you put the whole file in the folder just name the folder exactly as the def file for the mugen characters, if you are still unsure just ask again. :)
