Who thought a white line in the grass was a good idea? The original looked way better. That looks like it was made with glass or metal. It also looks like it has a bit of snow on it. Maybe that white could be changed to a lighter green.

Personally I like the white better bc the plain green makes the land look dull and boring. Realistically if there's light and you have a smooth green... uhhh... mossy rock? there would be highlights to it (just not as vibrant as here).

It’s unfortunate that I don’t believe this is compatible with the decompilation, because this would be A perfect addition if it was supported. As well as a wide screen mode for that thing, which annoys me that it does not have that.

I don't think widescreen is for everything. Just like movies you need to pick and choose what ratio fits the picture and style of filming. In this case the 8:7 ratio is much better imo than widescreen. I do appreciate the effort my friend Vitor put into it, but imo it's just a cool gimmick to see how it would've been had someone made smw for today's tv's and monitors. Also the widescreen patch is a very comprehensive patch and quite invasive. Every hack would need to be individually altered for that patch to work. It's not as simple as just changing screen size.

Love the romhack 💙 Just one question tho: is the following bird also present on normal ? I wanted to share the "definitive" version of SMW (so a SNES version of the GBA one) to a friend but the map followers seems distracting (at least for a "vanilla" playthrough, no problem for hard mode being it's own thing). Also maybe I am just dumb but I didn't found the button to access the GBA progression menu. Either way congratulations for your work !

The map followers do appear in normal mode. Their code is... very confusing and don't want to accidentally break them so they're present in both difficulty modes (in levels the bird only appears in hard mode). Check the post bc I recently updated the hack to version 5-5-24 which fixes an issue someone commented on here. Keep sharing and help spread it! Thank you for downloading!

Yeah don't​ worry, since then I learned that it was cut content 👍 And I also managed to access the status menu after chosing the latest update. Either way, huge congratulations to you, I listened to your amazing Mario Maker 2 music demakes and god damn! Now I dream of the impossible: a romhack of All-Stars (not the AS+W) with your remixes and the Advance content 😔

@@LadiesMan217 Got it! That one was very tricky. I was working on that ghost house for a full day. I'm loving Hard mode and all the amazing details you've added! The added difficulty isn't kaizo level--it's just the right amount that makes it feel almost official. The Blue Jay confused me at first, which prompted me to do some research into SMW's development and what was left on the cutting room floor--and now I have even greater appreciation for what you've added into the game. I'm obsessed. It really is a worthy 30th birthday celebration of an already amazing game. Keep up the great work!

@@johnforkner I’m happy to hear! Which version are you playing? Latest is April 1st (it’s not an April fools I promise lol). I’d say it’s near perfect but a saw a streamer have a glitch with the Mario Bros physics so I think that’s the only bug so far in the recent version.

@@LadiesMan217 I'm playing the latest version. Been messing around with Delta on my iPhone and was initially just looking for a romhack to restore proper brick breaking physics to Super Mario All-Stars + World. And that led me to your romhack. PS it works really well on Delta. A few minor things like some clicking with some music tracks and the mode 7 keyholes not always displaying properly, but everything else is great. I did have ONE weird moment in the remake of 1-1 where the SMB physics suddenly shoved me backwards instead of forwards. It only happened once and I wasn't able to replicate it.
