I beat this romhack game Suer Mario World Hell Edition TAS on my Raspberry Pi 4 SD card games which was damn hard to beat. I ended up skipping to the last level and used save state feature and I did make it to the end. I'm impressed the youtube user Thetha is very good at it. I'm not as good or flexible or professional at Super Mario World especially in the Super Mario Maker games with super hard levels of hell or impossible levels which I'll never beat since I'm a casual gamer.

I played this once. I HAD to savestate the entire time, and it took me about two hours. This is feasible without TAS, but it's improbably hard. Of course, the ending is just that. The message on the block before the end was, IIRC, that you needed to give the creator a password that you found in the levels somewhere, and then you'd get the true ending, not some room the ends the level. I was so pissed when I finally got through 'hell', and was given nothing for completion.

CloudyEyed 247: this is a bug with KZbin, not the video uploader. AVI files (commonly used years ago, not anymore) are known to have desync issues when uploaded to KZbin. The only workable solution is to convert them to MP4s and reupload.

In fact, this one can be finished 'manually' (is that what people call "RTA"? whatever) without any special tools like those used in this video. I finished SMW Hell Edition a few times, of course with a gazillion saves, using Snes9x on Mac OS X 10.8 (if I recall correctly).

TAS - meaning the person plays it through -- that is, a real person playing it -- but using tools to record the video. Much like you can create a KZbin video by splicing frames together, one can make a TAS by advancing the game one frame at a time and timing your button-presses to 1/30th a second. And if you mess up, you can just rewind and do it over -- as the "video" is recorded, it will play back as if you never "rewound". Then, when you're done, you just take your "video" and let the emulator play it back start-to-end at full speed - and it'll mash exactly the same buttons you did at exactly the same times.
