10:34 Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Celeste did reset cycles every time you die. In fact I remember that they always set things up so that if you go fast after respawning you never get stuck waiting. Is that not the case?

I believe the commentator was slightly misinformed. In Celeste, you have ‘entry cycles’, where you enter the screen and the cycles are at whatever position they start in. And ‘respawn cycles’ where the cycle is ever so slightly later than an entry cycle (respawn time + you appear at respawn point and not screen transition). So in Celeste speedrunning you gotta know both your entry cycles and, in case of dying, respawn cycles. But the cycles don’t keep going, so he was wrong there.

This nana really said your first meat boy run is gonna be like 45 or 50 minutes bro the first time I played through this game there was several levels I spent 45 minutes on themselves. Now how tha heck

You dont need to play the hardest levels in any%, the hardest part of the game for first time runners is omega and final boss. Really common with less than an hour of practice to get a first run in like an hour to 45 minutes

This was an interesting speedrun until the runner said that food might be one of the things that keep us alive, at 42:20... That's just a too hot take for me
