Super Metroid - Mother Brain 3 E-Tanks - Shine Spark Accident (See Description)

During one attempt of my 3 E-Tanks challenge run "Bare Bones" from Retro Achievements, I accidentally shine sparked into Mother Brains' head and instantly died.
Because of you need at least 3 full energy tanks to survive the rainbow beam attack from Mother Brain, I tried to heal up with a crystal flash. But the game glitched while I received damage during healing. This caused a shine charge and I accidentally shine sparked diagonally into Mother Brain's head. Unfortunately this boss causes no invincibility frames (i-frames) and because of the shine spark, Samus was not pushed back while taking damage, so I instantly died without knowing what even happened.
This was explained to me from Super Metroid expert runners.
It was also said that the glitched status of the game caused an ammunition overflow. I probably had 60,000+ missiles (the white and blue bar in front of the ammunition counter).
I highly recommend to check out some of the best Super Metroid players like Eddie, Imyt and Oatsngoats!

"I probably had 60,000+ missiles" It looks like a 16-bit underflow giving you 65,534 missiles. (you can see the counter go 0 -> 35 -> 34).

Okay so what is the value of the hyper beam? And is 60,000 missiles enough to finish off mother Brain?

God I hope they don't, they'll just add more quicktime events that kill you if you don't have perfect timing. They were annoying in the Metroid 2 remake, but at least they were mostly optional since they were basically just shortcuts to beating a boss. But in Metroid Dread they were mandatory, and were the single reason I absolutely hated that game. Straight up ruined the experience for me, and made me really apprehensive about the future of the Metroid series.

Nah, I feel like Nintendo doesn't really understand what makes Super Metroid better than modern metroid games, particularly where level design is concerned.
