Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania's Platinum Trophy Was NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE!

Still can't believe I finally got SMB BM Platinum Trophy. This platinum took me a very long time to obtain and is by far the hardest platinum I have ever obtained. It's really exiting to be able to bring you all this video. Of course, the ending was weird, but I explain why in the comments. Please leave a like, comment and Subscribe!

Wanted to make quick comment here. For those who reach the end of the video, you may remember a somewhat odd ending, that editing was strange, wasn't a normal ending. Wanted to say this because by the time i got to this point it would no long allow me to add video and audio clips, and i spent for ever trying to fix it. That was the best i could to with my circumstance. So, I know its lets than convientant, but I tried my absolute best to make the video as awesome as I can. As you all know I had to make this on my old PC. There were tons of issues, this is the one I sadly couldn’t resolve. I really hope you all enjoyed despite the whole PC issues thing that came up!

Level 4-6 is such a huge spike in difficulty. I pulled out a lot of hair playing that one!

1:21 iirc assuming it's still the same in this remake, you don't control the monkey or the stage. You actually control the way gravity affects the monkey, causing them to roll around while the tilting of the stage is separate from that. This is why you're able to manipulate the monkey midair and is how speedrunners develop input sequences to pull off some insane jumps off of geometry

Hey, after a long time, I came back to see your channel. This is one of my hardests plats if not the hardest, a single example, in golf I don’t know yards and that stuff, I used a calculator to translate the yards to feet and feet to yard, just to see if it works. THIS WAS SO HARD!!!

Yeah that was in this game to on a different game mode. So you still had to do that but I didn’t find too difficult when in comparison to the others

I remember playing this when I was at a YMCA Summer Camp back when I was like... 10. They had it hooked up to a bike. Don't recall how the controls worked at this point, but I know you needed to peddle / use the handlebars lol

After just starting banana mania a few weeks ago, and just getting through the story mode once, all i can think is "What have i done" watching your video im not looking forward to the rest of the game i have to do. I have no idea how you did the marathons with under 100 deaths but thats the big one im dreading as well as clean up of missions. Banana rumble just came out and i can already say this trophy list, im not even looking twice at the new one

"pro (cheating) AI" man i felt that. i just recently came across super monkey ball 2 and decided to get it since the vintage stock was having a retro nintedo sale (sadly not the consoles, or i would have snatched up a N64), got home to play it and quickly went over to multiplayer when i realized this was the one with flying to hit targets. that AI is BRUTAL man, by the time i finally beat the AI on just one round. i was ready to play chicken with a train and not back down. can't wait to see how this goes 🤣 all i can say is... the female narrator doesn't feel as right as the male narrator. god he is so damn infuriating. Ready? Go!

Just an fyi, the physics system didn't actually change at all. The way the monkey's acceleration works was basically the only change they made

i love super monkey ball . i feel like world 4 can wall lot people . dont recall stage i got stuck on but do remember it been like... need very perfect with next jump . honestly don't like stages that feels like need more luck based than actual skill feel sorry for people try do speed runs this game. phew stages kill run very easily

Yeah they are. The camera controls were changed and they can randomly move you w out control which makes the game feel off

id say this game plays significantly easier on the originals, purely just because of the game controller, with the little notches on the gamecube controller i can assure im going exactly straight compared to a ps4 controller where its a full circle, gameplay wise the game seems a lot easier as there doesnt seem to be a life system? i remember having to beat all 50 levels in expert and 10 expert extra levels without using a continue to attempt master difficulty, anyways good video !

Great point, the games definitely played much better on GameCube. One thing I didn’t like abt this one tho is the camera was completely ruined, so actually doing levels with thin platforms was really hard to do as the game would move you without control due to the camera. But they both have there pros and cons.

This game is my childhood but I definitely gave up on this Platinum Trophy. Golden Banana Mode Strata, Dark Banana Mode Twin Bastian, and if you don't get the green goal to skip Helix, wish that run goodbye, lmao. Huge congratulations on getting this Platinum Trophy, definitely well earned. What was the hardest level to complete for you besides the obvious Helix?

Hmmm, I think the first level in SMB1 master with that skinny hill. I forgot the name but that level was a nightmare, even to this day. Nvm I got the name, Stamina master is the one

@@StarWarsSatellite Disables pretty much every trophy in the game. Even then, that’s the easy part, the mini games are the hard part. So slo mode is useless, so nope

If I'm not mistaken, you control a little of both. You tilt the stage and also move the monkey. That's why you still have some mobility while airborne. It's such a visually cool way to show movement, and I've loved it since I first saw it on the GameCube.
