Super NES Replacement Console Shell Overview

So glad to see this clear shell is actually CLEAR. So many times when you see “clear” for anything it’s milky, and barely see through.

Eh, they could've made due with clear eject lever, clear/purple switches, and other parts clear. Defeats the purpose of being able to see the board with default parts covering everything from a top-down view perspective, plus being able to add additional lighting could've been a consideration for when the power is on.

I remember seeing clear/coloured shell replacements long ago for psx, dc & xbox. Nice to see the tradition continues.

I wish they would simply make the same mild-textured gray color shell as the original except it's with an ABS mixture that doesn't yellow with age. Although I'm definitely holding out for the smoke colored version.

1 SUPER IMPORTANT THING TO KNOW! The Internal Boards inside the SNES consoles, are not all the same size and height, (I learned this from Repairing and replacing SNES Shells years ago! For example a SNES Shell with UN1 DOES Not Fit a UN3 SNES (The height of the cylinders where screws go in, are off by a few millimeters, and this does not let the game go all the way down into console and wont let game play. ( Hope you can understand what im trying to say) A Game Shop recently bought this clear shell, and has that problem, once the clear shell was replaced, the games wont work, due to the height being a tad off!

I know this might be dumb but has anyone tried making a shell for the snes jr? I wish I could get that transparent orange like on the dreamcast. I'd have all my consoles like that if I could :)

Way too expensive aliexpress is selling other console shells for a quarter of the price. I wish the price was more reasonable lol
