It's nintendo themed. This allows it to feature the Mario games without limiting it. Although the title is most likely to avoid legal issues, they can do a lot more and still have it fit the overall theme. This is simply one section.

It would be cool to have a Mario kart roller coaster. Have it like a regular coaster, but later in the ride it splits into 8 different tracks, where each kart has its own track. 1 kart will have a loop, and another will have a drop, and near the end, they all line up again.

Universal uses weird placeholder graphics in their patent illustrations. Often times they use dinosaurs, Ferris wheels, and for a brief period, Hulks lol. It’s just to show how the technology works, and is only an example, not representative of how they’ll actually use the technology necessarily.

Mario Kart will not be a roller coaster type ride. Nintendo wanted to make the main attraction for families to ride together.
