You know Chuggaa has a good point when he talks about the villains. They seem really generic at first but as time goes on they get their own distinct personalities. At first O' Chunks seems like your typical dumb muscle sort of character. But in Chapter 5 and even more so in Chapter 8 you see that he has the mentality and beliefs of a proud warrior. Mimi at first seems like a spoiled brat who has no business being a villain but in Chapters 6 and 8 you see that she's really diabolical. Dimentio always has that sort of insanity to him so that you can't always tell what's going on in his mind. Even Count Bleck is interesting. At first he seems utterly generic and boring but at the end he becomes a much more interesting character especially with his back story. These villains are the best out of any Paper Mario game. They easily top Bowser, Grodus, the Shadow Queen, and all the others.

This freaking game... As a kid I never payed attention to the story (since I couldn't read), now in 2016 I decided to replay it and holy cow... Since I'm able to read I understand the story and characters now... The ending made me cry... Honestly, I like to think that Blumiere and Timpani went on to have Rosalina and her brothers. The only strong evidence I have for that is that the tree and hill in the end credits looks exactly like the tree and hill in Rosalina's storybook, even down to the color scheme, and that Rosalina can use magic like Blumiere. I know it's far-fetched, but it comforts me that Mario comes across them again, even if it's in the form of their child.

Such a heartwarming end to such an underrated game. Always makes me cry every time I see it. It's at the moment after the super dimentio fight when you realise that all the doors in castle bleck are covered in hearts. After the first time, that is the bit that gets me each time. Because that's what really hammers home for me how much bleck loves and misses timpani, and it just makes the end that much more upsetting.

ill never forget this game. it was the first one i played on the wii. i was six, seven? i didnt fully finish it. neither did my sister, who is two years older than me. a couple years ago i went back and watched it again, when i was about ten. i didnt really keep track of storyline, i just thought about the characters and how fun they were to draw. but i came back again on january first of 2020, the first starting decade i can fully remember. and i dont think i expected to end up in tears over these characters i had unknowingly fallen in love with. to have this whole nostalgia around this really underrated and underappreciated game that has a heartbreaking storyline and amazing backstory that flows with the plot is something that i'll keep with me forever. it'll go down with every game that has filled my childhood with joy. when i come back, i'll add in the date. because i know, one day, i'll rewatch the entire thing and a little bit of my childhood will hit me just a little but harder and remind me of the joy i have around this. yeah, it's pretty safe to say this is the game that shaped my childhood.

I think I figured something out. Luigi wrote the Dark Prognosticus, even if he doesn't remember it. Seemed to know that Count Bleck had stole Peach, and also the book stated him as one of the heroes and one of the villains, and the ideal model for the Chaos Heart. Luigi is so mysterious I think he just might have. The elements seem to align. He heard the bells first, and his dreamwaves are perfectly in tune of that of the pi'illows. He may just be some sort of god.

Hi! I remember playing this game with my father when I was 7 years old. I believe I was too innocent to realize that this was probably one of the darkest Nintendo games. I barely remember anything of this game until I found the let's play you did! I heard great things about Chuggaconroy so I thought "why not?". Now that it's been 8+ years since I played the game, it was nice to see something about it again. Most fanart points towards Tippi being mostly white with rainbow here and there, sometimes as her pixl form being a hair bow. I thought blumiere kind of looked the same as he did then, but younger I guess? Just my speculation.

+??????? ??????? They set it up pretty well at the end. When Blumier says Dimentio left behind a shadow of his power he was actually referring to Luigi, so that could be a nice plot point about Dimentio's resurrection or something.

Sylos Fantasy Actually, at 22:39, there's a picture of Lady Timpani and Bluemiere standing on a grassy hill. Lady Timpani looks like she's in her human form, standing right next to Blumiere. Now, I really wonder if that picture is BEFORE or AFTER they vanished... I really, REALLY hope that was after what happened!

I played this game all the way through one single time when I was a kid. It was probably almost 10 years ago at this point. And for some reason, the ending didn't hit me nearly as hard as it did now watching this playthrough. When Nastasia started crying, it just broke me. I can't believe I forgot about how good this game's story is.

I actually love how this story turned out... I wasn't expecting any of that... It's so heart warming, really how it ended... Goes to show that the main villain isn't always pure evil, at least, not intentionally. Loved the whole story, though... Very sweet, loving and very touching. Made me cry :')

dementio did say, this isnt over, and it never showed that he died. i'm a little ticked off they didn't show her human form except for a far away shadow, just knowing there's a shadow shows they had to plan at least a human shape for her design at some point

SuperCrazybird123 Yeah, Dimentio says and does things in a somewhat similar fashion to Fawful. Bowser's Inside Story was one of the first games I ever played, and definitely among my favorite, so I'm looking forward to more of the RPGs.

SuperCrazybird123 I've seen villains in the Mario universe survive worse. I would, however, still be surprised if any of the characters in the previous paper mario games, besides the four (and maybe the ancients) returned. Obviously fans would love it, but I doubt it's like them to do that.

This ending never ceases to make me cry, usually around the time Nastasia starts to cry, whether I playing through the game or rewatching the ending. (I am 14, to quote capt olimar: I am just sophisticated like that.)
