Thanks. I do remember that the Barney Miller week was the last week GSN ran in 1997 before the "Dark Period".

The first week to do them was the all-star Dobie Gillis Week. It was taped after the Barney Miller, Daphne Maxwell-Reid & Clifton Davis, and Betty White & Dick Cavett weeks.

80's daytime standards were different. Keep in mind this was before Jerry Springer, Maury and other daytime shows of that type.

Daphne Maxwell-Reid Guest Starred on other TV Shows when hubby Tim Reid starred in them-The Original WKRP in Cincinnati, Simon & Simon and Sister Sister and yes, Daphne and Tim starred together in Frank's Place and Snoops both for CBS and she also appeared on the very 1st week of The All New Star Studded Match Game w/Ross Shafer for abc and also, Daphne's appearance here on SP aired 5 years before she played the role of The NEW Aunt Viv on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air when the show moved to the NBC Studios in Burbank, CA the home to Super Password and Gary H. Miller took over as the series Executive Producer when Winifred Hervey departed from the series Plus, Daphne also Guest Starred on the very 1st episode of Hardcastle and McCormick and even appeared on The Whispers Music Video "And the Beat Goes On" and after Fresh Prince, she Guest Starred on Fresh Prince's Sister Show In the House when the show moved to upn also, the last 2 Seasons of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air saw Ross Bagley join the show as Nicholas Banks, but the series suffered in the ratings when CBS moved Fran Drescher's Sitcom The Nanny to Monday Nights competing against Fresh Prince and The Nanny cracked the Nielsen Ratings Top 30 for 2 consecutive seasons (Season 3 cracked the Nielsen Ratings Top 20) and when Fresh Prince left the air (due to Will Smith moving on to pursue a Full Time Movie Career) The Nanny moved back to CBS Wednesday Nights until 1999

yes, it was "fart." I and I'd say most everyone else doesn't find the word offensive nor see the need for it to be censored. But then again, I guess standards were different back then.

The first alphabetics was great! Surprised they didn't give her "gasoline" as "roughly a form of the word." I know they meant it in a different sense but the word can have either meaning.

The word gasoline is a combination of the word "gas" and a form of the word "oil," and was first used in 1871. ...

19:21 The word was fart btw. In the early 80s and possibly the 70s it was a little offensive or not appropriate for television. Probably it was too close to f**k.
