The Doe Duel Drive was initiated by West Essex farmer Mr George Prior who farmed heavy clay soils in the 1950s. More power and traction was needed. The first incarnations were, I believe, largely farm built using two Power Majors. At some point Mr Prior and Ernest C Doe (son of the founder of Ernest Doe and grandfather of current chairman) joined forces. The Dual Drive was developed further with increasing control of the forward tractor as time went by using a combination of hydraulic slaves and electric solenoids by the final models which were based on the Ford Force 5000 tractors.

that Marshall flatdeck trailor is a great tralor , but the drawbar isnt strong enough , righr where it joins the body it bent on our one , only carted hay bales , it went back to scotland to be modified , 2 side gussets sorted the problem , good video OILLY regards from essex

Saw you running from one end of the field to the other trying to film the triple d 😂 Also the triple wasnt just fords, they used others. One of the cheapest way to make 4 wheel drive tractor, slap 2 tractors together 😂

ask your friend to look at bobcat or caterpillar thats my dad got and the turning circle is so small and its hydrostatic so only 2 gears and really reliable

The doe wasn’t just to get more hp it was specially built for the really big hills I think in the moorlands I can’t remember for better traction
