First thing,I would do,if I would buy that blue 2-door....repaint...not that it's a bad paint job (I wouldn't know)....but the colour of light blue,it hurts my eyes to see this beautiful classic car,in a cheap colour....My recommendation...cherry red,burgundy...even white is better...ivory....options are unlimited...

I had a 1972 W109 with 2.8 in Bavarian blue with white interior back in 1989 while all my mates had Metros and VW Golfs. My pride and joy, a real head turner until I took the camshaft oil feed pipe off during a service and forgot to refit it.... doh! There were quite a few W114 about at the time down in Devon with older drivers and mostly in Gold but not that popular as the SL was GT of choice for thems that could could afford one, W114 was bit of a marmite design, probably the ugliest Coupe Merc made. Sold my 62 Fintail a few years back for peanuts, big mistake but you can't keep everything?
