I first doubted the Mk2 but then I saw the massive movement when in plane mode. Perfect for hit and run.

Especially since, even with minimal upgrades, Layzner's evasion is pretty fantastic.

It's also considerably stronger in the offense. Shame it couldn't keep the Calf Missiles though; I know that was part of the intended design, but a few pot-shot snipes can't hurt...

My only issue with it is that it is too good. I imagined it would be like OG where I could throw it into the heart of the enemy and watch’s as they burn themselves out trying to hit it. And then clean up afyer. But in J they won’t even take a swing if they know they won’t hit. And yet this effect that made layzer 2 sad for me to use(but I always do) is the same one that makes me praise Bontakun. Tiny health pool, good spirits, impossible to hit, and hilarious to boot.

@Jale The Village Troublemaker Srw J is a game I always summarize to others as “I am the final boss” the game. Because most of the time it is just MC, Kaiser, Zeorymer(both versions are great), and God Gundam cleaning house as unstoppable beasts

Nice to see the Knuckle Shot getting some love. It doesn't get used much in the anime. But the Vmax is kind of weird. Shouldn't the Mk2 have had Vmax Supercharge? It's what ultimately defeated the Mk1 and would have been added to Mk2, surely.

Getting to pick between Enhanced and MkII always feels like you're biting the bullet with something: Enhanced is "weaker", but it keeps the extra bit of ammo and attack range with the Calf Missiles, and has higher Armor to compliment its formerly horribly frail frame if someone does land a hit. MkII maximizes attack stats, and has sliiightly higher HP and EN, with a higher evasion and movement in Flight form but said form somehow drops the melee options altogether except V-Maximum, and has the same pitifully low Armor ratio as regular Layzner. Both have stronger Beam shielding than Layzner, yet because Enhanced's is a type M with higher Armor to MkII's L with lower Armor, the former is still better at taking Beam hits.

weird in my playthrought eiji has a absurdly high evasion rate and never got hitted by anything, Except if he was on defense support
@MrMarket19872 жыл бұрын
@@noVva555 Nah, you're correct. Fortunately AND unfortunately, Layzner is arguably the most evasive unit in the game, meaning virtually nothing even threatens him which makes it very broken and regrettably uninteresting to use just maxing out its Mobility alone, and the "Layzner Route" where you can get the majority of the Secrets means you'll be seeing a LOT of use out of that... So I tend to just keep the base dodge for fun, at which point said defensive stats matter a fair bit more, while Eiji himself and the V-Max powerups still make up for unimproved evasion considerably.
