***** Ryuusei means both meteor and Shooting star. It's supposed to be a mocking nickname. A meteor falls and and burns up in the atmosphere. It can be interpreted differently a Shooting star that lights up the night. There is a whole thing in Kamen rider Fourze where they use a more archaic word for meteor to try and hide the fact that Ryuusei Sakuta is Kamen rider Meteor because it would be obvious otherwise.
