Interesting idea. Kind of wish that every sin would be represented by a villain from a different series, but hey, I personally can't think of better alternatives (the only major villains out there would be the Emperor of Darkness and Iron Mask, and I have no idea where either of them could fit), so I can't really criticize. Too bad Evgeni doesn't really register on half the team's radar, given how he was a route exclusive villain (heck, even on his stage, he really only mattered to the Buddy Complex characters and Heero; that's kind of sad, really).

The true route, and Spero's true colors... Oh the irony. You bastard bird, you really were Kyubey the Bird this whole time! I love the ominous lack of music as Amari comes back out of Ende, only to be floored by the ensuing plot twist... _And between having his line against Ende botched and now not getting a Spero quote, Glemy really got the sound department's wrath. Which is kinda ironic since, IIRC, Glemy's VA is a sound engineer by trade... Ouch._

Wow, not only Spero as final boss has special dialogues for all characters just like Nevalinna, but he also have pre-battle dialogues to sideline characters to Kallen and Bison? Shame characters such as Heero doesn't have custom dialogues against Spero, though.

Sometimes the special dialogues play out but sometimes they don't. I would say Spero probably has at least one line on every main pilots but it will more than one battle to trigger them. And as we usually strike the final boss hard and make sure it dies in one turn we usually don't get to see every possible lines.

You know I totally misremembered this, I could’ve sworn it was Ende who had a quote with everyone after entering a second phase against him since I remember the unique quote cause someone I saw had Fa running around in the Nightingale in this fight but a lot of attention and care was put into this for the ENTIRE roster to have a quote with the final boss since that’s a first I believe for the mainline series. It makes you think that a bunch of the budget went to this portion of the game and wanted to setup a grand finale(a shame that everyone in a discord server I’m in utterly shits on this game). One thing I will say here though after realising that Spero is OG Tetsuya is that there would be some kind of meta joke where Spero would kinda understand him. I quite enjoyed this one and the only thing left I have to say is theorycrafting, which I believe considering how quickly they brought X out after V, they might try something with those two in OG with like some huge Alpha 3 finale thrown in to make the most epic thing ever

I think they messed up here. They only gave Spero lines for almost every single playable character you can get, but the non-original characters only have lines for Ende. It kind of takes away from the fact that he's supposed to be the true final boss. This is made worse by how quite a few characters in X (especially new ones) only have lines that specify "Super" or "Real" type bosses, and these games tend to consider final bosses as neither, so only generic boss quotes will trigger. If the character doesn't have any, well...

Interesting that they bothered to change Spero's beam to be blue, from Ende's red. This isn't a criticism on your route choices, but it really feels like the True end route's changes are more fitting for Iori than Amari, what with Spero's constant clashing with Iori vs. his borderline crush on Amari. Oh well, hopefully the silence on any new SRW releases means the next game will be truly special, series fatigue is kinda setting in after about 4 (and a half) consecutive games with basically the same engine.

I agree with the IF Route being designed more with Iori in mind. The Normal end just ends with Spero genuinely sacrificing himself, which jives with his having the hots for Amari. The IF route's end....let's just say that Spero trolls Iori up to the end, which also jives with their "vitriolic best buds" dynamic in Iori's story.

@@lalunafelis from what I believe, in normal route, spero sacrifice himself To be the new Al warth divine beast (basically, he is not dead, he just become new Ende) and in IF route, he become Ende so he can use its power with combination of X Cross to make new Al Warth which can stand by itself without Ende.

I chose Amari mainly because of two reasons: 1. I polled my audience via Facebook and KZbin community and Amari had more votes 2. Soji was the main MC for my main V playthrough so it would be a nice change to have a female MC for my main X playthrough

@@Eienartha I understand that people don't see Spero's action in the Normal Route as a Heroic Sacrifice, but that's what it comes across to me as, he did lose his physical existence when he became a god, so that counts. I said trolling in the IF route because it appeared that he sacrificed himself, but actually came back just to troll the hell out of Iori. Of course, that is my interpretation, anyone is free to have their own.

I just cleared this game using different characters compared to the ones in this video just to see their pre-battle dialogue with Spero. -If you didn't combine and use TTGL until you have Dayakka fight Spero, the latter will try to threaten Dayakka's daughter. Dayakka then gets totally pissed off. -If you use Boss, he knew he doesn't stand a chance but will try anyways and tells Spero to stay still so he could get a good hit in. -Toraoh - gets taunted by Spero saying he will die before he gets to see his mom. -Hilda - Spero mocks her feelings for Ange. Hilda responds that it doesn't matter how Ange feels. As long as Ange is with her, that's more than enough. - Yoko - Spero asks why Yoko never responded to Kittan's feelings.
