these two teams are not even that good come finals they going to go down the drain telea's 4 tries were just fluke tries, the tries the blues scored were just spot the gap make or break draw and pass they not finals material like the crusaders, I believe the crusaders have witnessed in this game, both these 2 teams are just not finals football teams, your not going to win the competition playing like that, unstructured game play, pushing on the scrum to get a penalty simple basic errors the pick and go method all simple tactics for top tier teams to operate on.

25 years watching rugby, that’s best finishing masterclass I’ve EVER seen from a winger. Mark Telea has been awesome in the past seasons, but this season, the bro has tapped into something mentally. An ABs Wing might never have been so undeniable since Jonah.

My Canes lacked a little oomph tonight and Ardie got nullified by the big boys in the Blues. Jordies kicking game was way off, wondering if it would be a different result had he got the easy kicks over. GGs to Blues. Give Telea the black jersey already. Hands down the best performing winger in this comp.

I feel Telea has more upside as an ABs wing. He's not as powerful or as quick as some, and although he is incredibly elusive and has a great fend, his best asset for test rugby is his high work rate and his ability to put himself in great positions and run great lines. He also reads the game better than someone like Clarke and is a better defender as a result.

Miles better than Clark. Clark was thrown into the all blacks on hype too early. Gets caught out on defence or just plain misreading the game. If foster will continue with Jordan on the wing instead of fullback, along with Leicester, telea and Stevenson (among several others) I don't understand why they would consider taking Clarke.. Make him work for the next one because he hasn't cut it this year.

Bryce Heem has to be the unluckiest of players in NZ. If he had RTS' minutes from the beginning of the year. Foster would have had to put him in the team. Every time hes in the game hes punctured the defensive line and has been a great defender, good pass and speed to burn not to mention a good pairing for the try-scorer Rieko. He'll miss out and we'll talk about why our current ABs midfield is misfiring!!!

Completely agree. RTS is clearly a great athlete but crazily over hyped as a Union player. Guys like Bryce Heem are just extremely good rugby players who are great at the basic skills and perform them soundly under pressure which at this level makes all the difference. Reminds me of Charlie Ngatai and Ryan Crotty, just all around ballers in the midfield.

If he can keep this form up for the playoffs Heem is still a real chance of getting an AB call up. He is already on the radar as he was selected for the 'All Black XV' team last year and he can cover 12/13/wing. It's also worth noting poor David Havili looked to suffer a pretty bad looking hamstring injury yesterday.

He made a bad career choice. He stayed for NZ 7's too long considering him as one of the best up and coming centre in the ITM. And once he get a chance to play club footie, he move overseas to play for Worcester and Toulon. Back to NZ in 2021 at the age of 32 which is far too old to debut for All Blacks.

Telea is built different. He has that quality that puts him in a tier above other good players. If the AB selectors give him a chance, he can be one of the greats. He needs to be the All Black starting winger, not off the bench as an impact player. He would be the second player I picked in my starting lineup after Ardie Savea.

I thought about this too! I would’ve scooped it up with my hand moving forward under the ball. But given it was wet and slippery and I have shit skills, the chances of me knocking the ball on are a pretty high. Compared to Tele’a who scooped the ball towards him (possibly to counteract the opposing spin of the ball) giving him more traction and less chance of knocking the ball on…was just superb. And he prob doesn’t think about each action and how to perform, he just does them instinctively I.e much like the 3rd try he scored stepping 5 defenders to get to the try line. Amazing!
