Thank you for sharing this!! Do you think a magnetic stirrer would help would with cloudiness?
@the1994candleco Жыл бұрын
I've heard of people using them for that so it definitely might! I notice the more I stir sometimes it starts to clear up a bit more so that's definitely possible! I just haven't tested it out myself so I ca't say for sure. ❤

You should try the Body and Room Spray Base from Northwood Candle Supply. Just one step, add your F.O. and bottle it. Big time saver for me.

@the1994candleco Жыл бұрын
Absolutely! Thanks for watching! It's kinda hard to know for sure, but I still have some from over a year and a half ago that are still good! So I would say at the very least, a year! But I'm getting close to 2 years on a few and still no issues! It may be different with different fragrances though but I would say at least a year. 😀

Absolutely love this video!!! Question... I see you didn't put a lot of fragrance oil is this a highly scented spray asking because I definitely want to try and make this but I love a highly scented room spray.
@the1994candleco6 ай бұрын
You want to look at IFRA statements for all fragrance to see how much is allowed in room spray! But yes 5% makes it very fragrant! Honestly sometimes you could easily do 3%-4% with stronger fragrances! You do want to be careful, adding too much fragrance can also leave oil spots on fabric or furniture/floors etc.

Can you please help me I use the same ingredients and when I add sorbic acid it clumps up. What am I doing wrong?
@the1994candlecoАй бұрын
@@lawhispersasmr6124 I’m sorry I’ve honestly never had that happen so I’m really not sure. Does it stay clumpy after you mix it? Are you adding the poly20 and preservative to the water before the fragrance oil or after? I always add the water, then preservative + poly20 then stir really well before adding the fragrance, then stir again once adding fragrance.

Are these sticky on floors ? And does it leaves marks or stains on fabrics?
@the1994candleco20 күн бұрын
I actually switched to this recipe because I tried a base and left residue all over our floor!!! So nope thankfully no residue in this one and so far I’ve never had any of them stain any of our fabrics! I’ve tested on our couches, clothes, curtains, towels, etc and never had any issues with stains etc!

Hello, thank you for sharing your video. I’m still a little confused about the formula. I have a one (8oz) spray bottle. How can plug does numbers in the 8oz bottle? And I’m also using essential oil instead of fragrance oil. I hope I can get some help
@the1994candleco Жыл бұрын
Hello! Here's the recipe that I used. (Also in the description box) Makes 1 4oz bottle 3.68 oz water .08 oz poly 20 .20 oz fragrance .04 oz preservative So you'd just want to double the recipe for an 8oz bottle. So instead of 3.68 ounces of distilled water you'd want 7.36 ounces and so on. Hope that makes sense! :)

Does the base help the scent last longer and can we use this for car fragrances as well?
@the1994candleco9 ай бұрын
You can spray these in cars but I don’t think it’s the same as a car diffuser if that’s what you mean?

Hi Nick! Thank you for the video :) would you know an alternate preservative? Or would sorbic acid in power form work too?
@the1994candleco8 ай бұрын
I haven’t personally tested any other preservatives so I’m not sure unfortunately! So sorry! You can definitely test it out, I would just maybe wait a couple weeks/months before selling and see if any mold etc begins to form in the bottle, that’s basically what the preservative does is make sure mold doesn’t form as you’re using water.

@the1994candleco6 ай бұрын
Depends on how much you’re making! Here’s the formula: Makes 1 4oz bottle 3.68 oz water .08 oz poly 20 .20 oz fragrance .04 oz preservative You’ll have to convert the ounces to grams if that’s what you’re using. 😄
