As much as I really like Marth and Lucina (and I've always been a better Marth player than with any other Fire Emblem character in the SSB games), Roy is still my most favorite. I should definitely look into getting better with this character, both in SSB4 and in Melee.

(I have the 3DS version btw) Against Master Hand and Core, I mostly time my Counter against most of their attacks. Trying to deal with Master Shadow due to unpredictability (while having taken a lot of damage prior) is the hard part, unless I can lucky with a charged Flare Blade to send his ass flying lol.

Exolyst Roy and Marth are simultaneous clones of one another as both got released in Melee and designed with one another in Marth (the Marth tipper sweetspot being purposefully a contrasts to Roy's Sword Center sweetspot), although Marth got luigified first (something which only happens to clone characters), with Roy keeping the original NeutralB, while Marth's changed to what we see in Brawl/Smash 4. And Lucina is just a real Marth clone. But the effects of all the attacks, hitboxes and framedata were all different between them even in Melee. In Smash 4, they all got further luigified, meaning they are further apart from having similar-looking moves and properties. Only DTilt is similar to Marth's, and somehow Ike's DAir (although Ike is a 95% Melee-Roy-inspired character in moveset, like a luigified Roy clone himself, ever since Brawl). Roy here is mostly his Melee self redesigned, with most moves being original or luigified, like how Marth's also got luigified in general. That's the most complete answer I could possibly give you. If nothing else, there's also the fact Roy is a much better character than Lucina and Marth in Smash 4. Ike got a buff after this patch, too, but Roy is still the best FE character in Smash 4, and a potential Top Tier.

Roy is a semi-clone, he has different moves, mechanics and abilities from Marth but he still has a few cloned moves he's basically like Luigi, Falco, toon link etc. Lucina is a full clone of Marth, the only notable difference is that she no tipper.

The one thing that puzzles me about most Classic Mode uploads is why most people tend to try avoid doing the 8-Player Smash matches whenever they're available, and go straight to the 1v1s/1v2s or 2v2s as if they're playing an online match. Am I really the only one that likes doing Classic Mode playthroughs showcasing 6-8 Player Smashes? :(

SekireiLord On lvl 9 intensity you can get killed in an instant. Its frustrating to be playing well and then get juggled perfectly by 6 CPUs to death.

madtrini I see what you mean. The CPUs are indeed very aggressive on 9.0. But it's the challenge itself that just makes it so exciting! XD Another thing to note is that the more Fighters you kill the more Gold you get accumulated. I'd say it's well worth it if you're looking to put effort into grinding. Especially considering 9.0 Intensity in in no way cheap to spend on. (2200 Gold, IIRC)

I guess.. but its only fun if you are playing with one of your mains. This smash has ~50 characters. Its difficult to be proficient with all 50. A lot of people would only do this for completing all the challenges or if they are obsessive completionists. Imagine trying to do this run with all 50 characters and still trying to go for the big fights where you have a large chance of dying. It becomes tedious and wastes a lot of time since death becomes more likely
