This was my first 9.9 in Ultimate, followed closely by Sonic. The Marx fight was stressful because I fought him at 9.4 and had no idea how to dodge more than 75% of his attacks, but I won anyway. It wasn’t until after I cleared WOL on Normal Difficulty did I actually get really good at fighting Marx, scoring a 9.9 with Kirby

inkling girl spirit? guess that means some of these classic modes have to be done multiple times to get all the fighter spirits. especially bowser jr. every skin is a separate character so 8 runs. as for others, i'd look it up before going the "safe" rout of beating it with all characters all skins. ah, well it wouldn't be the first time, the Zelda and shiek trophies in melee for instance.

Nah. The other gender spirits in cases like this are either unavailable or gotten other ways. Winning as Corrin, for example, gets you the male spirit even if you were playing female.

I can only assume it's because Marx Soul (and maybe normal Marx?) had an attack where he would turn himself into globs of blue and pink paint, then rain paint down from the heavens. But he doesn't do that in Smash Ultimate, so the reference is easily lost.

Marx can be considered a boss thanks to the multiple colors he has One thing the we need to understand is that the courses for each character in classic mode aren't always about "references". Sometimes, it's about similarities. Other times, it's about sequences

DJ Octavio would battle you while bouncing to the beat of the Squid Sisters. They probably saw it fitting since Marx gets into a bouncy mood during the battle to the music
